i like narduzzi an what he did at mich state.

But Pitt aint a team that gonna cause noise in the acc for awhile....especially with temple now coming up...not un;less they did like before and hit the s.fla area to beef up their skill positions hard.

Narduzzi was a humongous get for Pitt and he will (if not this year) over time prove to be that nightmare game at seasons end for this program.

And it wasn't the ad who hired him. It was the chancellor. They actually have an administration that cares and wants to win.
In that respect, they are LIGHT YEARS ahead of us in 'rebuilding'.
And we wouldn't have a snowballs chance in **** at getting him.

Listen ya yinzer, obviously we're not getting him- that's why I deemed it a "meaningless hypothetical". I was just interested if people would "settle" for him right now as we all throw potential names around.

If/when we make a coaching change, the job will probably go to someone who we will have to "settle" for....I think our fans need to understand
we are not hiring a coach who is already on the elite-level.

The sooner, the better.

Pitt will be better than Penn State for the entire duration that Narduzzi and the black Al Golden are head coaches at both places. Sure, they might never return to consistent national prominence but they're gonna be a problem for us in the immediate future.

Pitt will be better than Penn State for the entire duration that Narduzzi and the black Al Golden are head coaches at both places. Sure, they might never return to consistent national prominence but they're gonna be a problem for us in the immediate future.

Only if we keep the current coaching staff around.

Their a non factor with us....He isnt even gonna get the type of recruits he got in the big 10......and......the big 10 isnt the acc their conference is worse than the acc by far...glad harbuaugh went their because it was about to get ugly with osu their and msu being the only schools truly worth a ****..other than wisconsin evry theree years.lol

The black al golden will leave the cupboard with prospects for the next coaches though

I think he can consistently beat Franklin in recruiting battles.
He has to put a stop to Urban and Holgerson poaching local kids as well.
Im pretty much thanking baby Jesus we won't have to face Conner this year but sure as **** want Pitt to show up against ND.
That should be an accurate measuring stick game.
Until then.....this is all individuals perception of his resume and potential but I like what I see so far.

i knew connor and the wr would be beast as i saw them in high school.

I usually watched the BIG 33 i believe is its name all star game...between pa and another state...and The wr (Boyd i believe) was having his way in that game...

he is NOT going to out recruit URB.....You can for get about that....and i think wvu has pull in that state...

Like i said..if dude was smart ....he would head down here to supplement talent...kids from s.fla would go there...they did previously....PITT is a big city..they like that.

I still think Temple coming up will be a problem...as that adds another team to stretch the area talent that isnt even so much imo.

I watch it every year. It used to be between PA and Ohio, now they go against Maryland. I also watch the SC vs NC all-star game.

I remember when they used to get kids from down here. A friend of mine signed with FSU, and he told me how Pitt was offering him and some teammates and other kids that he knew 10K per player and an apartment in the city as a package deal. This was when Harris was the HC. NC state and Pitt were doing well in SFL around the same time. I remember: Miguel Scott, Jameel Brady, Tulloch, Bobby Washington, Tremaine Hall, HB Blades, Torie Cox, Kennard Cox, Cedric McGee, Conredge Collins, Clint Sessions, and some others being quality recruits that both schools were pulling around that era.

Pitt will never be what it once was, because the talent in PA has gone down hill. Pitt and Philly still produce good talent, but those kids don't stay in-state. The few that do go to Penn State. Dorian Bell, Corey Brown, Philly Brown, Jordan Hall, and Terrell Pryor are just some examples of highly rated kids from PA that went to OSU and had NO desire to play in-state.
