Parrish Injury?

It’s that time of realizing reality…time to bend over and take it willingly, hoping next year is an improvement.
We just got blew out by Middle Tennessee are you implying we are still going?

We don't let them heal and likely push them back on the field too soon. Case in point,

Ehhh

I disagree. Maybe not in every instance. But I think we baby the living **** out of them, and of lot of times it's a minor injury that isn't worth all the sitting out.

ACLs can take up to 2 years to recover from yet Chaney is trying to bounce back after 9 months. Sure, some have done it but we are talking about serious risks to the structure of the knee. Citizen with an August to August timeframe is much more likely to be successful. I wouldn't at all be shocked to find out Chaney gets another ACL job this fall IF he truly damaged it. They don't heal without surgery.

Shoulders- Mallory and TS2 both played last year with torn-up shoulders. Playing through that means risking additional work needing to be done during surgery and a much longer rehab.

Muscles- TS2 groin... not much you can do about it but let it rest.

Nelson- knee was 6-8 weeks and I'm pretty sure it was more like 6 weeks when he stepped back on Greentree. Big boys take even longer!

Porter- went back in after that ugly hit

Parrish- concussion protocol and will likely play IMO even if his shoulder is torn up...this is one to watch if you want to say we baby them or they are soft.

Broken bones- not much we can do with X and George. They broke bones. Do you really want a kid to play with a broken foot or hand at WR?

Athletes are coming back quicker than ever from ACLs...But It really wasn't referring to Chaney, X, George

I'm talking about the week to week stuff...We shall see. And I should have been more clear that it's not just Miami.

The week-to-week stuff would be based on how likely the team is to win it all, how likely the kid to lose his spot if he sits, and how likely is the kid to lose a chance at playing for more $$$.

I would agree it is, but disagree that it should be...

Football is physical, you aren't always gonna to feel good during or afterwards

***** it throw jacurri in at least it's another run threat
Jacurri is a threat with his legs. I wouldn't have him throwing passes yet but he should get some PT as a RB. Thad may be a workhorse but we need to have other viable options at RB. Brashard I would use more on reverses & toss sweeps (unless his body can withstand the pounding at the RB position).

For what it's worth. I sit at around at the 25 yard line, lower bowl, very close to the field and close to the Legends area...more or less near the medical tent area on the Canes Sideline.

After Parrish appeared dinged up on one play, he was on the bike and then Coach Smith took him behind the Medical tent (specifically out of view of most), and was having a very aggressive conversation with him. Parrish handled it well, stoic, didn't react or argue...but it looked like a real reaming and the crux of it from what I could divine from tone and limited lip reading was 'Cowboy up, get it together, get back out there,'. Smith got heated and was definitely flexing. Right in his face.

They separated, Parrish walked off, eventually went back out...then later appeared to get hurt again and was done for the day. Reading the Tea Leaves here, I'm guessing first one was the shoulder, tried to play through the pain....second one must have been the head/concussion. I was maybe 20-25 feet away from that scene and I'd guess with the small crowd maybe no one else (or very few) saw it.

Take that for the absolute nothing it's worth, lol. Would be good to hear more about how serious either injury was.

No judgement here. Looked like real talk to me for sure. Was glad to see some passion and glad to see a young man take it like a man.

Where are you hearing this. He's out due to a hip injury not a knee injury.
