For what it's worth. I sit at around at the 25 yard line, lower bowl, very close to the field and close to the Legends area...more or less near the medical tent area on the Canes Sideline.
After Parrish appeared dinged up on one play, he was on the bike and then Coach Smith took him behind the Medical tent (specifically out of view of most), and was having a very aggressive conversation with him. Parrish handled it well, stoic, didn't react or argue...but it looked like a real reaming and the crux of it from what I could divine from tone and limited lip reading was 'Cowboy up, get it together, get back out there,'. Smith got heated and was definitely flexing. Right in his face.
They separated, Parrish walked off, eventually went back out...then later appeared to get hurt again and was done for the day. Reading the Tea Leaves here, I'm guessing first one was the shoulder, tried to play through the pain....second one must have been the head/concussion. I was maybe 20-25 feet away from that scene and I'd guess with the small crowd maybe no one else (or very few) saw it.
Take that for the absolute nothing it's worth, lol. Would be good to hear more about how serious either injury was.
