PAC-12 will play 7 games

What the playoff committee should do is punish the BIG and PAC for being idiots and almost having the season cancelled for no good reason.

The champions should just play in the Fiesta Bowl. Even if they are undefeated.

Why punish the players as all these decisions have been way above their role?

If a team looks good, it isn't their fault they only had 7 games. What if we beat everyone but Clemson, but had to cancel two due to our own issues or someone else's, should we be penalized?

Say the ACC has another one loss team besides us, we're ranked higher, but didn't play and they have one more win as they lost a game due to Covid, should we be punished?

Let the best from the bigs play and it'll all be sorted on the field. It would also generate a lot of excitement, with 8 teams with a shot.
Because Bill Hancock and the CFP's entire rap every year comes down to "data points," which they refer to as extra games against good opponents. When you have 7 data points compared to 10 or 11 from other teams, then you don't deserve a spot.

Play your 7 game season and that's it. Your schools made their decisions. Not everyone gets a gold star or a medal.

Maybe this is the year to "expand" the playoffs as a test run to see how it goes. Go to 8 teams. They may find they like it and a lot more of the bowls become relevant.

No, why reward those clowns. Unless you’re suggesting none of the 8 teams come from the Big 10 or PAC 12
Because "those clowns" had nothing to do with the decision not to play and I am sure if it was the ACC people wouldn't say us clowns.

I also don't subscribe to the notion they don't play football or they are inferior. Maybe they aren't as deep from a conference standpoint or they have an off year, but there are quality teams at the top regardless of conference affiliation (power level).

So if Cincy goes unbeaten should they get in the playoffs over somebody 7-0 from the PAC or BIG? The higher ups decided to do what they thought the politically correct thing to do was and the kids shouldn't be punished. That is what I am saying and just an opinion. I from a personal standpoint have wanted an 8 team playoff and this would be the year to give it a go.

Ths type of unrealistic red herring (Cincy) is one of the lowest forms of debating a point.

Also, in using “clowns” you already know **** well I’m referring to the administration and not the players. They’re innocent in all of this. But the leagues have to pay the price.

The far ups already punished their own kids as a matter of fact....and not getting into the playoffs hurts them even more...which it should.

You’re actually rewarding these 2 leagues for playing in significantly fewer games. While the other leagues assumed the greater risk of playing significantly more games.

Never reward incompetence.

You can cape for these 2 loser and incompetent leagues all you want, but you have yet to make an argument that’s reasonable.

What they should do...Because the BIG and PAC chose not to a play full schedule.... is let the winner of those two conference play each other in their own BSB

L-O-L at these goofs! Their commish just proposed that the CFP should be expanded to 8 teams due to “the disruption of play from Covid-19.” Lol. So they cancel the season prematurely due to Covid. Now that they see it’s not that bad under the current atmosphere for these young athletes, they want to restart their season. But oh wait??? Since u’re only playing 8 games, now you’re trying to figure out how to get a shot at a legitimate title since you tricked off the season....prematurely???!! And wanna blame COVID-19 vs. the gaping hole in between ur thighs??!! Lol!!!

Thank God their proposal was shut down. Have fun w ur Pac-12 crown which won’t mean a **** thing. Lol. Maybe they can get w UCF to see how they can, properly, crown themselves National Champs w/o actually winning it. Lol. Dummies.

If they field a team that's clearly better than the best from the BigXII then let them in the cfp imo. SEC champ, ACC champ, Big 10 champ, whoever else.
