You don't see the hypocrisy of some schools going totally online in the fall, yet requiring football players to sign Covid waivers? And still not paying them? All while the coaches, administrators and universities make millions.
They treat them as employees, but don't want to pay them. That is BS.
Pay them nothing? See that's the problem right there.
You get a free education with all expense paid, values differ.
You get free food, I can promise you it's better than anything the other 99 percent of the school is eating.
You get free room and board.
You get free clothing and apparel.
You have access to a ton of amenities that's reserved for student athletes only.
You get free personal trainers.
You get free tutors.
You get to travel around the country, seeing and doing things a lot of people never will. You get 5 star service, okay maybe 4 star, the entire time.
You get treated like a king or queen, everyone is on your jock at the premiere programs.
Your cost to the university is on pat or above what your professors make. It's more than those serving you food and taking care of you. Your coaches are the only ones getting paid more.
All of this you've been given. You're afforded a chance not only to make it to the next level, however slight that may be, but you're afforded a chance at an education that will be your livelihood. Most wouldn't even be there if not for their athletic prowess with their lackluster GPA"s and Sat scores. Even if they did get to college, they're leaving with a ton of debt.
Get out of here with this they aren't getting ****. This year schools are going to lose money with decreased attendance. Yet they want more? Show them the door.
