There's a new article on my boy Ozigbo on Rivals. He isn't narrowing down his list or committing any time soon so that worries me a bit that he might be waiting for another offer.

He met with coach Al Golden while on campus.

"He said all good stuff, "Ozigbo said. "He was talking about how he likes what I do. The one thing that surprised them was how big I was in person, that was pretty cool (he's a 5-foot-11, 227-pounder). They were like, `Wow, we didn't know you were this big this early.'"

I tried to tell y'all this kid has a freakish build with rare power/balance/leg drive for a back. He's built like a truck but with + speed and agility for his size. The Mike Tolbert comparison is growing stronger by the minute as this kid grows closer to 240-245 lbs. Unlike Gus the Bus and Dillard this kid actually plays like a big back naturally. He can do the dirty work for our more explosive backs.

I don't know him but UM is in his top group and he's still waiting it out to collect more offers before narrowing down his list.

I see nobody on this site cares that we're recruiting a talented 227 lb. back because he's not from Florida and Pete doesn't get to sniff his jock year-round.

HighSeas, I agree with you on a lot of prospects but what do you see in him? I don't see this great speed/agility that you see. And I'm not sure he will react that well to the extra weight. I do not think he is better than the big 4 Florida rbs we are recruiting. And yes I watched the tape. Also, the local schools from Oklahoma and Texas seem to agree with me that he's not a special talent, since they haven't offered him or shown much interest in him.

Like I said I was hearing pre-visit he wanted to commit but our staff has other rbs higher on the board. I was told they told him to hold off on a commitment. So it's not just Pete that thinks the Florida rbs are better, but the staff as well.

You seem real upset.......

There are some good plan B big backs in florida also such as 2015 RB SEKAI LINDSAY from Palm Bay HS , he is 5'11 205lbs with good vision and good speed ( not great or elite). The competition he plays is mid- tier central florida teams but they are still teams with Florida athletes.

He doesn't have a UM offer but took an unofficial visit to Miami this weekend per rivals article.

All that said I do like how Ozigbo runs with power and gets north n south quickly.

I'm not that high on him. He is a plan B type of guy and I think the staff will continue to recruit him as a plan B in case they miss on any of their top 5

What do you think it will take for the other Jordan to come?

If we hadn't recruited so many H-Back types in the past few classes, and needed a true FB, I'd offer him right now as a FB.

As a true RB, there are currently better in-state options that we have to give preference to before offering Ozigbo a spot in this class as a tailback.

That's not nut-hugging S. Florida kids (I'm from VA)...that's reality.

Where would you rank him compared to the FL RBs ?

Which Jordan? Scarlett I don't see coming here. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't end up in Wisconsin from what I've been told. Cronkrite I think commits to us and from speaking with him.

Wisconsin and Syracuse are putting the full court press on him. According scout.com Cuse would make him the priority RB they take for the 2015 class. But another site has reported Cuse already 2 RB commits for 2015 but he would be the biggest and best prospect.

And it sounds like there is Cuse Alum down in Dallas has been in his ear for a long time.

I am glad this young man is holding off on committing because the longer he waits the better the chance his UM offer will become committable if UM misses on its higher rated big back targets.

Bingo, Token cane.

I've said it many times before, but Williams & Cronkrite is an A+ RB haul.

Cronkrite and Scarlett would also be an A+ RB haul, though it would really suck to lose the in-state back with the highest ceiling and most home run ability (Williams).

Landing one of those three and an out of state JAG (not specifically referring to Ozigbo, though I'm not a fan of his based on his highlights) would be a pretty big disappointment. Not a failure as long as we end up with at least one of the four premier in-state backs. But a disappointment considering where we currently stand at the position with Cronkrite committed and considered solid, Williams committed but possibly a longshot to stick, and Scarlett seriously considering us as well.
