Ozigbo update

Offer him as a fb and sell him the offense

I can see him play the Quad Hill/Najeh Davenport roll.. Big and athletic. At this point we are not in a position to pick and choose. If it's a good player that can help in an area of need you take them.

We don't run that offense anymore, so who's to say we still have that role. In the spring game, our big back was not strictly a blocker. We might be getting away from that with Coley.

I don't know why he would get away from it because Coley saw how valuable a versatile fb was at FSU (Lonnie Pryor)...If he learned anything from Jimbo I hope that's one of them. Unfortunately, scholarships are at a premium..

How often did Quad Hill or Davenport get the ball at FB? Hardly ever. Maybe Quad a bit more.
Without looking at stats, we threw to Hill more, and handed the ball off to Davenport more.

Hill was a beast catching the ball out of the backfield. Seemed like he had a big play every game.

Unfortunately, using the fullback fpr anything other than blocking, much like the TE, has become part of the forgotten pass here.

When did Miami stop throwing to the FB? I always remember the FBs getting lots of receptions back in the 1980's.
