But he can't. On a night where Miamis OL dominated, his performance leaves a lot to be desired.

And being 6'9 340 doesn't matter. His hands are all over the place, his pad level is still too high and his feet travel outside of his frame too often.
 
Hey..I like this question because I asked this to D on the CIS Pod live chat.

I will say we get 2, but here is important thing, lets at least double our top 100 picks also. Can we get 4 or more top 100 picks as we had 2 last season.

He didn't get beat to the outside against ND though. Traore got him a couple of times coming back inside.

Not arguing that his technique isn't lacking (or that he doesn't mostly miss backers on the second level), but if you're a + athlete 6'9 340 LT playing P5 football who doesn't get beat by speed to outside I think you're gonna get drafted pretty high.

Top 100 picks is where I hope we make a big move and the more interesting line IMO. Bain, Francis, Beck and then you hope to see 2-3 more guys emerge there.

  • Ohio State last year had 7 in the top 50, crazy! 14 total overall.
  • Georgia had 6 in the top 100, 13 total overall.
  • Texas had 6 in the top 100, 12 overall.
  • Oregon had 6 in the top 100, 10 overall.
Bell and Blay seem like the next sure fire things and have a decent chance to be day 2 picks. Mesidor, Moten, and Anez are probably the next guys that NFL teams may be interesting in aka big bodies in the trenches.

Setting the o/u at 5.5 for top 100 picks seems like the more interesting line. 6 guys going in the top 100 would be indicative of a very good season and likely playoff run.
