They are better than LA Tech, Duke, FIU.

Bill Clark is a very good defensive coach.

Their defense is going to be really good.

I see a 28-13 type game. I think it’ll be an ugly defensive game.

They are predicted to win their conference By Steele Mag.. Should be a good test.

UAB plays Central Arkansas Thursday night, 7pm on ESPN.


Central Arkansas did not travel home today but are remaining in Alabama until after this game. Will be curious if any COVID issues...

Funny enough, I was going to post that I see it as a 14-17 point game earlier. And I don't expect the full margin until late 3rd quarter/early 4th. It won't be a blowout.

And we've had a total of about 2 dozen practices. We should win by 2 tds but a blowout is a bit of a stretch this early in the season. We should be clicking by the 10/10

UAB may be somewhat experienced overall, but their offense better not cross the 20 mark on us. It's putrid and their QB Johnston is extremely impatient; very turnover-prone and forces tight throws.

Conversely I expect our offense to work out some kinks early (UAB is also very sound defensively even for a non-P5 school) and maybe struggle for a quarter plus, then kick it into gear and end up driving down their throats. Thinking 38-17 final.
