Our Son......

We all can see that Al is in over his head as a coach, but it seems to me he is very good at this PR type of stuff, and I do think he has a good heart.

Thank you for sharing this with us, and prayers to you and your family...your boy will make it through this and come out stronger on the other end.

He's actually kind of shy, at least he was with us, one on one. Not sure if he was overwhelmed, or his first time dealing with something like this. They invited us to come back because the players really enjoyed having Carter around.

You can really tell though, he has an enormous heart. Doesn't make me feel better about the on-field product, but as a MAN he earned some serious points today. Coach D was actually very proactive, not shy at all. It was funny watching him cuss out Tyriq, then come over be Mr. Friendly. Coach Coley never introduced himself, I actually had to make a move with him, cool nonetheless.

What a fantastic job by UM and make a wish!!

Really puts things into perspective

I wish your son and family nothing but the best!!

Great stuff and thanks for sharing it. Nothing but positive thoughts and good luck to Carter.

If we take a step back, I think most can separate the man from the coach. Great people can be bad coaches and vice versa.

Saw the pic on Intagram, saw the last name and was like ****, isn't there a Hucks on CiS? Awesome. Looks like he had a great day. Best of luck to you and your son.

having worked with many families at Give Kid's the World and wish children it is heartwarming to see Carter get such an enjoyable visit and for you as parents who feel it as much or than Carter himself. There is plenty of hope and we will all be praying for him. The most rewarding things we as volunteers feel is seeing families return to Give Kid's the World to help because of the treatment they and their families received. Good luck and God Bless you all.

Your post literally made my heart melt man. Again, wish you and your family only the best DHucks.

God bless.

Amazing post. Best thing I've seen all year.

Carter has good hands. Kid is focused out there.

I was hoping this would make it to the board. Thanks for sharing. The clip running through the smoke (chills and tears).

God Bless you and Carter. I'm sure everything will out great for you guys. Seeing what they did for you guys makes me happier than anything that could happen on the football field. The memories that you and your son will collect over the next few days will stick with you forever. Thats what makes The U so great. Not the football. Not the championships. Not all the great players that have come through. Its the unbreakable bond between players, coaches, and fans. Stronger than anywhere else you could imagine.
