When something goes terrible wrong, someone has to take the blame. The blame goes to everyone but these coaches get paid and need to fall on the sword.

The program has lacked mental toughness since Shannon. One Spring and Fall camp isn’t going to weed out all the players who can’t adapt to the demands Mario is placing on them. Many have tuned out, especially on offense. They weren’t a physical OL last year, and one season isn‘t enough time to transition into that team.

That said, Mario’s key failing is hiring an OC to run an offense needing ‘trench bullies’ when you don’t have a roster of them.
