People don't understand we didn't NEED seaton. He simply was the cherry on top. Would've been nice. Now his funds he was asking just go elsewhere. It shows he didn't leave deion over development like his people were trying to say. He didn't stay and he didn't follow loadholt and he didn't go to BY FAR the best developer of talent at the position. He chased lane to LSU. It's clearly a money grab. As good as he is we don't need MORE of that mindset being catered to here. We made one exception to that so far this offseason. No more.

My hope is we get Anez Cooper Sophomore year output from either Buchanan or Minaya.

My biggest concerns in order:

1. Mccoy has never played LT for any extended period
2. Rodriguez has never stayed healthy, and no one is behind him
3. Unknown at RG
4. Cantwell in pass block
5. Okunlola getting bored murdering people at LG

My biggest concern with Seaton was he appeared to undercut what Mario's all about. Say whatever you want about Mario, but the team's tough and plays together. You can bring in a star who might not be perfect for that, but at OL? Meh. I just hope some of the question marks resolve themselves over spring ball. If Buchanan or Minaya ball out and Rodriguez stays healthy, with Mensah's feet, I feel ok.

Cooper started the end of his freshman year. His sophomore year he was pretty good, but he was surrounded by veterans other than cici, and we weren’t trying to compete for a national title either. Given that no one listed at RG has played really at all, they would not be surrounded by veterans, and we are now trying to compete for a national title, it’s not a situation I feel particularly good about.

Other than having serious concerns at 4/5 of the spots things seem great lol

Yeah, helluva talent, but diva act is counter to the culture we’re developing.

If we didn’t have Mario and Mirabal I’d be scared as ****

That’s a huge drop off at pretty much every spot

Exactly.

We just played with the 3rd best OL we've had here in 4 years and they were good enough to win a national title.

So Mario and Mirabel have put together 3 very good to elite OL for the past 3 years.
I'm certain/confident they'll do it again.
