Been a rough life as a Phillies fan...

But my Dad and I attended the clincher in 93 against the braves! Had great seats down the first base line that my Grandpa won! The Vet was electric and I distinctly remember the PA playing “Whoop there it is” after every Philly highlight!

Too bad Mitch Williams blew the World Series, as that was a great group of misfit Phillies!

Was also in attendance for Halladay's perfect game vs the Marlins. Not a Phillies fan at all but with games like that you have to stand up and applaud.

2013 World Series. Game 6. Red Sox won it all first time at home in 100 something years. Year of the Boston bombing. Energy and city was unreal

Worth a mention are some **** great games at the old Orange Bowl: The "Epic in Miami" with the Dolphins vs. Chargers for the AFC Divisional Playoff on Jan 2, 1982 was fricking amazing, though a loss for the Dolphins 41-38 in OT. Kellen Winslow was a monster. I remember him being helped by two teammates walk off the field. I remember people clapping for ALL the players after the game ended. That is rare. Not sure we'd ever see that happen today.

Another cool game at the Orange Bowl was in 1985 when the Chicago Bears came to town for Monday Night Football on Dec 2nd. Dolphins pinned the only loss on the Bears 38-24 that season when they won the Super Bowl. It was cool that the Dolphins were able to do that and preserve the distinction of being the only NFL team to go undefeated through the entire regular and post season. The 72 Dolphins were on the sidelines for that game. I'm sure there's many more memorable games, but attending those at the OB was cool.

Guess we'll have to agree to disagree cause my wife's fam are good people
I was just messing with you my man. There are some great people in Louisville and I’m sure your in-laws are some of them. The city, as a whole, has an over indulgence of ********. My wife went to school in Louisville for 4 years before transferring to NKU for her CRNA degree.

Game 7 2018 Eastern Conference Finals: Cleveland vs Boston. Basketball is my first love and I’m a huge C’s fan. Seeing the banners and then seeing the HOF aura Bron possess was crazy.

It's not much compared to some of these, but Pittsburgh Penguins playoff game on a white-out night. Great atmosphere and loud as ****

Pop Warner National Championship was an amazing atmosphere and a fun time in general. Got the chance to experience that 3 years in a row and we came away with the ship the first year.

Second to that was a high school football game. My alma mater Mandarin High was playing cross town 8a Rival Sandalwood. Both teams were undefeated and Mandarin was down by 20 at the half at Sandalwood. Devin Waters had 2 pick 6s and a punt return for a touchdown for Mandarin and we came back and won the game. The next year Waters transferred to Sandalwood. Both teams were undefeated going in to the game as well, Sandalwood was stacked that year, and they made a rap ‘diss song’ about Mandarin leading up to their game. That song got air time by the local news station and everything. The atmosphere at that game was amazing. Mandarin was down in that game by atleast 3 scores at halftime again, and we came back and won again. My brother in law was on the team those years and I’ll never forget the buzz leading up to and after both of those games.

At the time of the first game Aundre Kearney (a LB for Mandarin) was a UM commit. By the time the second game came around Richt and company dropped Kearney for Jennings who played for Sandalwood. Ofcourse, that made its way in to the lyrics of the diss song and added to the storyline.

I’ve watched a lot of football over the years, and the passion and love that surrounded those Pop Warner and High School football events has been unmatched by anything I’ve seen.

Yep. Nothing like The Igloo during the 91&92 Cup games. That place was insane. Eddie Jr was a friend so tickets were always available. Other than the Heisman ( was the guest of a winner) the Cup games were my favorite events. Electric atmosphere. Super Mario at the top of his game and Jagr a young pup. Pittsburgh is a great football/hockey town

If I was at Game 6 of the Finals against the Spurs, that would be #1 on this list far and away. However, I was in attendance for these:

1. 1982 AFC Championship, Dolphins vs. Jets - the famous AJ Duhe game in the mud. I was in the WEZ for that one, and one of the few moments that can rival the Jones interception vs. FSU in 1994 for pure electricity was the Duhe pick 6 on Todd.

2. 1985 Monday Night Football, Dolphins vs. Bears - this game needs no explanation. Was in the WEZ again.....I barely slept the rest of the night and of course had to go to school the next morning but it was worth it.

3. 1997 Atlantic Regional, Canes vs. Arizona State - some of you may have forgotten about this. That year, Canes baseball got a brutal regional draw with the Gators, Arizona State, and a pretty good FIU team. I was at Mark Light for all of the regional games. They made it past the first 2 games and matched up with ASU in the winner's bracket, and got their clocks cleaned....the game was barely competitive. Matched up with the Gators in the loser's bracket and won a close one to eliminate the Gates from a regional yet again, to set up a rematch with ASU. Well, for most of the game, the Canes were getting whipped yet again.....it was looking like the Sun Devils were going to eliminate them from their own regional, in convincing fashion. Canes were down by 3 in the bottom of the 9th, and it was not looking good. However, they were able to get some men on base, eventually loading the bases for Jason Michaels, who of course hits a walk-off grand slam to win the game. Simply insane. The Canes used the momentum from that game to beat ASU in the next game (double-header) to go to Omaha.

Awesome call on #3. I remember how tense that game was, how brutally hot that day was, and how crazy we all went when Jason Michaels hit the walk off grand slam. My friends still give me sh*t about some dust getting in my eyes as a result of that homerun. Those late 90s/early 2000s teams were so talented.
