Game 4 NBA finals LA vs Orlando in 2009. Was crazy when it went to OT. Howard missing both those free throws with like 10 seconds left in regulation up 3 points ready to put the game on ice will be how I always remember his career.

That same year, they beat the Jets in the OB in the pouring rain. AJ Duhe had 2 interceptions and ran one back for a TD. I was in the upper deck and like to froze my *** off.
I don't remember that one. My dad didn't always take the kids, sometimes it was his buddies. I was 12 thru most of that season. I know he took me to Canes games back in the 70's but I don't really remember too much of it till I was in high school. I definitely remember going to the Chargers game and a Pittsburgh game that we didn't get in til the 3rd quarter because of the traffic. Panchos at the OB, I'm sure I went through that more than once tho.

Most memorable was Super Bowl III - Jets and Colts. I was 12 and went with neighbors who were huge Jets fans - transplanted New Yorkers. I was sitting in the stands right above the locker room as Namath trotted in waving his index finger. Guy sitting behind us was a Colts fan and had a cow bell. Every time the Colts made a play - and even when they didn't - he'd stand up and ring that **** thing. Thought I'd go deaf. He also had a "briefcase" that when opened had a fifth of whiskey and 2 shot glasses. He wore out the Coke seller!
Wow!!!!
You are blessed...that was nirvana my friend....I can only wish

The Masters is the best sporting event to attend in person, imo. Been to NBA finals, World Series and Stanley Cup finals, U.S. Opens in golf, U.S. Opens in tennis, Golden Gloves finals at MSG, NCAA Tourney, McDonald’s AA Game, innumerable Jordan games, NBA drafts, some good horse races (but not Kentucky Derby), great CFB and CBB games, etc.

The two best pinch yourself moments I was at live, imo, were Jordan’s double nickel game at MSG right after he returned from baseball - the whole crowd was telling each other ‘I will tell my grandkids about this game’ all the way through. And game 7 of the ALCS when the Red Sox broke through against the Yankees in ‘04. There are better endings or bigger stakes, but the drama of those moments was unique.

1997 Marlins Game 7
2013 Miami Heat Game 6 Finals
Dontrell Willis vs Randy Johnson (2003?)
Wrestlemania
I have attended many other classic games but can’t remember off the top of my head what years they were.

World Cup match. EPL match at Stamford Bridge. 2009 WCF Nuggets Lakers game 6 when Kobe went Mamba in the 4th. Those are all up there pretty close to each other.
Ohhh you are sooo lucky. My sons and I have that on our wish list...Stamford Bridge for a Chelsea match and it doesn't matter who is on the pitch.

I watched Nolan Ryan put an *** whooping on Robin Ventera when he charged the mound.

Masters and the grapple on the gridiron are two that stand out for me but I don’t go to many events now that kids have entered my life.

Some things on my bucket list: Daytona 500, Indy 500, Kentucky derby or any of the 3 races, the masters, wrestlemania, a big boxing or ufc fight, and a big soccer match over in England/World Cup

A couple diff ones for me..

1997 Marlins game 7

2012 game 5 of NBA finals

2015 Kentucky derby. American Pharoh won and would go on to win the triple crown for first time in 37 years
I always wanted to go the Kentucky Derby or the Preakness.

I bet on'em every year but it never occurs to me to make it out there to one lol.

Aaron Pryor Alexis Arguello in The Orange Bowl in 1982 or 83. Electric was The Old Lady that night.
Panama Lewis said “Give me the special mix” and The Hawk went to work. Arguello hit Pryor with a couple bombs early, it was like a mosquito landed on him. AP was in another zone that night. Mancini- Kim fight next day in Vegas at Caesar’s outdoor. Saw that one in person, sad.
