If I was at Game 6 of the Finals against the Spurs, that would be #1 on this list far and away. However, I was in attendance for these:
1. 1982 AFC Championship, Dolphins vs. Jets - the famous AJ Duhe game in the mud. I was in the WEZ for that one, and one of the few moments that can rival the Jones interception vs. FSU in 1994 for pure electricity was the Duhe pick 6 on Todd.
2. 1985 Monday Night Football, Dolphins vs. Bears - this game needs no explanation. Was in the WEZ again.....I barely slept the rest of the night and of course had to go to school the next morning but it was worth it.
3. 1997 Atlantic Regional, Canes vs. Arizona State - some of you may have forgotten about this. That year, Canes baseball got a brutal regional draw with the Gators, Arizona State, and a pretty good FIU team. I was at Mark Light for all of the regional games. They made it past the first 2 games and matched up with ASU in the winner's bracket, and got their clocks cleaned....the game was barely competitive. Matched up with the Gators in the loser's bracket and won a close one to eliminate the Gates from a regional yet again, to set up a rematch with ASU. Well, for most of the game, the Canes were getting whipped yet again.....it was looking like the Sun Devils were going to eliminate them from their own regional, in convincing fashion. Canes were down by 3 in the bottom of the 9th, and it was not looking good. However, they were able to get some men on base, eventually loading the bases for Jason Michaels, who of course hits a walk-off grand slam to win the game. Simply insane. The Canes used the momentum from that game to beat ASU in the next game (double-header) to go to Omaha.
