Other Teams Nervous *Added*

FSU calling UM a dumpster fire is the funniest thing I've read all day.

You can call Ruiz a liar but he claims UM is CURRENTLY top 15 in cfb profitability (I assume that's what he means by "top 15 financially" ) Now its public that UM is going to inject an additional $30 million into the program. Lane Kiffin is asking for the job. Meanwhile FSU is stuck with Mike Norvell. Hey, he beat Diaz for the 1st time in 3 tries. Give that man an extension.
I get the irony, but it'd be funnier if it weren't true. It's possible we'll spend our way out of this, but until I see it, Miami's athletic department is a train wreck.

All I can think of is those poor kids. From Boca to bumfuksville mississippi

oregon is and always will be a one trick pony gimmick program...the media picks one almost every year as the darlings.
ZERO worries about "competing" with a program like oregon lmao...gtfoh

KatyTXRebel has his britches hiked up all the way to his chest lol

He must not know who Lane Kiffin is... That man can’t stand Oxford Miss, he’s a fast paced city guy.

Go watch Lane’s interview on Le Batard show from back in August, he fckin hates Mississippi lol

These fans don’t realize a few things.

- Lane hates Oxford and will jump the first chance he gets.
- our facilities are fine and have been improved. Are they $300m facilities? No of course not but I’d argue that we don’t need that kind of draw.
- Miami WILL pay a coach $6-7m
- this is a different administration (ie money people) that we’ve ever had including one dude who is getting close to Phil knight territory and happens to be a big fan
- this Is still a destination job for Mario and even lane. Don’t let the haters fool you.

If we do this right, folks better watch out.

Right now, everything I'm hearing and reading is literally the exact opposite of a dumpster fire. AD gone. Short list of candidates includes Jurich. $30 million injection into the program. Kiffin all but announcing he'd leave Ole Miss for UM in a heart beat. Tyler Van Dimes. Columbus mafia rolling out the red carpet for Mario.

I havent had this much hope in almost two decades. If you want to say you don't believe it until you see it, I get it. But fsu saying UM is a dumpster fire - they are 4-6 and think Norvell is a God because he beat Diaz for the 1st time in 3 tries. I'll accept the dumpster fire criticism from a Bama fan. But FSU? That's f#cking rich.

At the end of the day, the corpse of Mark Richt went 10-3 here.

I will never, ever believe that the Hurricanes are irrelevant. It just takes one good HC to get this rolling - as much as that pains most of College football.

Love how that guy said he read on ESPN that we’re in debt — was that a dream? Because he conjured that up out of thin ******* air.

We are nowhere near in debt. Richt retiring, walking away, and choosing to forgo the rest of his salary helped us immensely.
It's almost like, and you may want to sit down here because you're in for a shock, they're morons who don't know what they're talking about.

Acinos503 was spitting facts.

Hard truth that our fans would never accept, but from the outside that’s really what it is & how we’re perceived.

Take away Mario is from Miami, for a second, and ask yourself, is he still the among the best candidates that is willing to listen to us? Absolutely! The fact that he’s even willing to listen (he’s seriously interested according to some plugged dudes) is very, very, telling about the situation.

Overall, I agree with your point about hiring the best candidate and forget the “miami connection”; however, I don’t think that concept applies with Mario. Coker, Randy, Richt (ready to retire) and Diaz were bad hires not because of the “miami connection” but because they were bad candidates to begin with.

Mario could fail miserably at Miami and no one could argue Miami was dumb for hiring him. Personally, I think Mario would build something greater than what Lane or anyone else could because of his skills, principles, experience and passion for this city and program.

Culture is what separates the two for me.

Kiffin would be a flash-in-the-pan success, but he's never building for the future. He's also a massive knobhead who will rub people the wrong way.

Both Mario and Lane have the Eye of the Tiger. I would be thrilled with either. Who knows, maybe Mario comes to UM and Lane goes to Oregon to replace him (he won't because Eugene sucks balls and they will end up with some G5 HC or a coach coming out of Saban rehab). Which coach is better can be answered in the playoffs.
