OTH Podcast: DJ and Romberg calling out our leaders

Pretty sure nobody works harder than the military academies. Can't tell you when they last one a national title. Talent might play a little bit of a role in winning titles too.

You're in Miami for Spring Break -- Where the f else are you going thats better than UM for Spring Break? ie....Is N'Kosi bee-lining back to Ocala for Spring Break -- dont see the pull.

Didnt most of the team leave to do humanitarian work in the 3rd World?
 
This thread is pretty embarrassing. A lot of keyboard warriors here who never even go to the gym telling 19 year old kids that being away for a week on school break is going to make or break a football season for a team they don't even play for.

I'm sure these are the same type of fans that complain that UM doesn't have enough South Florida kids on the roster... you know, the ones who would already be at home and probably wouldn't be leaving for spring break to go see their families. I wonder if there is any correlation between the two? Weird, I know.
 
It's a completely different era. Can respect the legends that have come through here and still understand that. Rest of the world is way more accessible. I'm sure Clemson guys left for spring break and they'll be fine.

I think the logical middle ground here is having enough trust in each player to take care of themselves while on break.

Some players might need to recover from injury, some players might need to do some cardio, some players might need to see their family and recharge the batteries.

Some players might need a “release” from all the school work and mental work learning a new scheme.

Trusting the players to make the right choice while on break is all we can ask.

PS, they could’ve had a killer 2 hour am workout prior to them hanging out at night for all we know.

You are about 75 years old. I’m 47 years old and the kids that post on this forum are from “another world.” My advice is to ignore most comments posted on this site except those directly having to do with Canes current news. There are many “windbags” that post crap simply to receive replies from other posters.

Maybe Clemson players have much more talent than our players and can take a break. Based on our record the past 16 years, maybe our players should make themselves available for coaching and working out the maximum amount of days allowed by ncaa regulations.

Brother you got to realize here,some people just dont want reality. They cant accept what is being told to them for whatever reason. Who knows why. But I've said this for years and lord knows many others have... they haven't been willing to accept what anybody has told them. Ignorance is bliss. Sometimes you just gotta leave that at what it is. Does canesmang have a point that we had alot of players better than others? Certainly he does. However without the staff & leaders we had none of that would have maximized its potential at the college level. We had our staff & far more specifically our peers(be it past & present) held us to a standard that I haven't seen here in a long time. It's one of the few things manny has said that I truly believe he feels. If you cant play to our standard than you dont belong here. It's what us canes were raised to believe. It's what us as players bled for to achieve & MOST failed. Yes for any that dont understand when yall hear players talk about we practiced so hard Saturday's were simple. The people on the other side of the ball were jokes to us. That **** is real. We killed each other throughout the week so we could murder that **** that lined up against us. It's why I laugh when I see people talk about this Oklahoma drill we have at mid field. That **** is far from an Oklahoma drill. It's basically freestyle wrestling without the takedowns. People say nesta is being too hard on Kennedy. That boy would've transferred out of here the day after he got here if we were still in that locker room. It's why I say we should always have old school canes on this staff & involved with the team. For me the fact that soldinger isnt either on this staff or in the athletic department is real sad. Sorry for the rant.

Easy to say that practices were harder than games when you're practicing against double digit future NFL Pro Bowlers all week. I think people in this thread are VASTLY underestimating what talent means and why the solution isn't to just work out every waking second you're alive as if that's the real reason anybody wins anything.

That's kinda the point though isn't it? The team isn't playing at a top level and hasn't for years. And before you say that we haven't seen this team play yet, that's not how it works. You don't take a vacation because you may be good in the future...you get to be good in the future because you didn't take a vacation. Because you worked your *** off. All the time.

I get that they're kids and want to party, but life is about choices. Which do you want more, to party or to win?

If you're a winner, you do every single thing you can to win, and I don't see that from these guys.
