Ha ha, a couple of buddies played on another KCAC team, they told me their scouting report said, "The RT is a snake, plays 18-inches off the ground." I was lightening fast off the ball, and the DT usually had his hands on the ground as the running back was going by. Only way I could survivie.@Silver King This is awesome! Thanks for sharing. Dear god tho, at that weight you must have been a chop blocking fool?
145 at 6 foot? How?

That was awesome........U got my vote......Nixon was president, My draft number was 24. I was among the first 18 year-olds to vote, Title IX just happened. I was 1650 miles away from Punta Gorda in Dodge City Kansas hoping to get at least a season of NAIA Ball. This was the night we got our unis. I had earned a DE spot, then an OG broke his arm and I got switched to OT(Refs made me change numbers during the season). At 6’ 190 I was the smallest starting tackle in the NAIA, the other one was the biggest 6’8” 285. The big lug was just here visiting me last week.
Now when I weigh-in on O-line posts listen, because I got to block for six thousand yard backs in HS and college. A couple from Belle Glade who were the fastest humans I ever saw, and were running down those rabbit in the Muck 35 years before ESPN caught on.
What a trip Dodge City was. I arrived on the 100th Anniversary of the "Wickedest Little Town in America." If college was any more fun it would have killed me.
