Rosen
Baker
Darnold
Allen
Lamar
This is the correct order. For as good as Lamar looked, athletic ends playing QB contain and forcing him to throw was a winning recipe every time. The ends in the NFL will all be better athletes than anything he's ever seen, and his days of running away from blitzing linebackers ended when he left college. He will have to throw the ball in the NFL and he's not a polished enough passer to play QB in the NFL.

Darnold or Mayfield are the only two I’d put my neck out on if I were a gm.

I’d take Lamar in the 20’s , if qb doesn’t work out you can always switch. He’s probably the best athlete in the draft. I wouldn’t touch anybody else , especially early.

Anyone with Darnold in the top 5 is NUTS. Since Carson Palmer there has not been a USC QB worth a ****. Leinart, Barkley, Sanchez, Cassell, and Darnold will be exactly the same. How USC QB's get so much love for doing so little is beyond me.

Gun to my head I like Baker the best of the bunch. Love his chip he has and he can make all the throws. Rosen can make all the throws but is already showing concussion/durability issues. Lamar has huge upside but also huge bust potential. Like Loose Cannon said he won't be able to run away from the DE's in this league forget about running away from LB's. Has accuracy issues too. Darnold is athletic but sloppy with ball protection and is an SC QB which is the equivalent of a PSU RB or UF WR. Allen is the perfect mold but concerning with how he played against weak competition. He had a few horrible games against P5 opponents, one of them being Oregon who isn't exactly known for dominant defense.
Unless there is a desperate need I would trade way down and away from any of these guys personally.

The only thing I know is that darnold didn’t look good against PAC12 defenses when I watched him with far superior talent. Not usually a great sign

Darnold has a different profile than those guys. He's mobile and is good on the run. He's boom or bust for me.

My assessment/sentiments exactly.

I feel the same way about Mayfield. Not enough success from the pocket for me to sing his praises.

You absolutely CAN NOT sustain success in the NFL without being able to throw from the pocket

Can someone explain what the hype around Josh Allen is for? Yes, he's big and has a strong arm but he sucked in college. Why would anybody think a guy who couldn't excel in the Mountain West conference all of the sudden be great in the NFL? I'm sure the Lolphins are going to end up drafting him because fins gonna fin but I just don't get it. Dude could take accuracy lessons from Malik Rosier.

Ryan and polian are high on rosen ,Mayfield and Lamar s ceiling.said darnolds mechanics aren't what your like.said Lamar could be dynamic but is too small to be a runner.just know how long hed last in the league because of his size.

Lamar Jackson past two bowl games
37% passing 0 TD, 0 INT vs LSU
41% passing 2 TD, 4 INT vs Miss State
I'm good. I get the freak athlete but I've watched him miss way too many open WR this year. His accuracy needs work

None of those guys had his physical skills or the athlete. He’s a little wreckless with the ball at times but is elite with throwing guys open. Which Is the key to qb’ing in the Nfl. He’s actually one of the best I’ve ever seen at throwing to windows / guys open.

Not drafting him because of previous usc qbs would be just idiotic. Imo he’s the safest pick out of all the qbs.

As I mentioned above , Baker and Darnold are the only two I stick my neck out for early.

Btw , Palmer was off to a great start before shredding his knee. That injury took some good years from him.

My problem with josh Allen is he didn’t elevate his team in college the same way wentz did

This dude has bust written all over him, comp percdvtsvr in the 50’s and awful stats anytime he played a pretty good opponent.

A little reckless with the ball? His stats for sacks, int, td and QBR are nearly identical to Malik Rosier and no one would ever call him a 1st round pick. He also holds on the to the ball too long and is late or takes sacks(ala Kaya). There is a theme with USC QB's in the NFL and minus Carson Palmer it's not a positive theme. All these QB's that have lack luster years or careers but everyone has a hard on for due to size and arm strength usually prove to be lifetime backups.

My third thread in commenting about Baker Mayfield.

Great college QB. All that and a bag of chips. Brings his own hype machine.

College is over. Not an NFL QB. Never was.

Will be another Cleveland bust. Book it.

Josh Rosen & Lamar Jackson are the two best imo.

Don't trust Sam Darnold (or any USC QB in the NFL) & Baker Mayfield's lack of size, small hands & D-bag attitude are huge red flags.

Josh Allen = Blake Bortles 2.0, big tall inaccurate QB with a cannon for an arm.
Baker Mayfield = Chase Daniel
Josh Rosen = Derek Carr/ Aaron Rodgers
Sam Darnold = Kerry Collins
Lamar Jackson = Randal Cunningham

The way some media talk about Lamar not being able to play QB in the NFL is insane. There's literally 20-30 backup QB's who don't have half the talent he has but Lamar should switch to WR despite the fact he's already said he can't catch lol.
I was super wrong on Rosen.

But hit pretty well on the rest.
