OT: USC's Class

Is it just me or does USC lose the most high profile recruits around signing day?

Not saying their class wont be great but it seems like they always have some jostling right around the end.

That's incredible. At some point, that sort of talent alone will keep them in games. You get a few breaks here and there, a special player or two out of that haul, and you're in business in a big way.

At some point? Last I recall USC has been elite for the last ten years

elite? lulz.

Rank your top 10 programs over the last 10 years.

USC didn't exist for most years in the last 10.

in no order

Alabama
LSU
Florida even though they are hot garbage now.
Auburn
Texas
Oregon
Boise St

I would throw USC in the next tier with FSU, Georgia, West ******, Virginia Tech.

They are up there but not elite.

Kiffin and Orgeron and elite recruiters. Always been. No surprise they are doing so well. It's actually a great sales point for kids. Less competition and more playing time.

Orgeron is so dirty he should be at Alabama.

I hate SC more than anybody else on this board, but how are they not a top 10 program over the past 10 years?

They played for three consecutive titles, and won two.

They played in BCS bowl games, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. They won 6 of those games (none of them were close).

If playing in 7 straight BCS bowl games isn't elite, I don't know what is.

Finally. A reality check.

(I get Larry's point though).

LOL clearly.

I hate 'em, too. Believe.

But SC and OSU* are easily top 10 programs over the past 10 years. OSU* played for three titles and won* one. They also played in 8 BCS bowl games.
