OT UiF

Everyone said the same thing in 2013. We were playing a UF team that'd just come off an 11-2 2012 season, and everyone said we had no chance. There's lots of time before this game, and they lose a ton of talent on both sides of the ball. Their starting QB will either be an inexperienced Emory Jones or a very average Felipe Franks. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Franks was garbage against even above average defenses. 15/26 of his TD passes were against Colorado State, Idaho, Charleston Southern, FSU, and Vandy. One of those teams went to a bowl game, two are D-2 teams. Lots of people are overestimating them. Yes, they had solid wins against LSU and Mississippi State, but they got absolutely manhandled by UGA, UK, and Mizzou (who lost yesterday to OKST).

Seems like these kids think their stock is high when they have a good season as a team. Us last year and then in 2016 after a good bowl win over WVU.

Plus there's the overconfidence factor on their part.
They're always overconfident against us, and they always sh*t the bed when they play us. There's a reason why they don't play us regularly anymore, and why they've only won one game against us since 1985. Even during that 08 game, at the Swamp, where they had every advantage against us, it was a 9-3 slugfest going into the 4Q. Their lowest scoring game of the season, and one of their toughest, against a team with a bunch of true freshman. For whatever reason they just play different when we play them.

Already Declared:
Jawaan Taylor - OL
Chauncey Gardner Johnson - DB
Jachai Polite - DE
Vosean Joseph - LB
Jordan Scarlett - RB

Waiting on:
Lamical Perine - RB (leading rusher)
Jabare Zuniga - DE
Van Jefferson - WR (leading WR) (Ole Miss Transfer)
Need Zuniga to declare

another point on playing Florida with Mullen. You do recall Diaz was his DC for a time at Miss. St? You would think practicing against that offense he knows a thing or two how to best defend it.

It seems like the DC always does better in those scenarios vs the OC (stoops/leach comes to mind)

Wow that was ten years ago? Crazy how time flies and (obviously) how stagnant we've remained as a program.

That does go both ways...

Come on man, stop with the fake bravado. Miami is a complete sht show right now. This is exactly why I hated the Richt hire. It was painfully obvious that this is where the program would be after he ripped it up.

Miami needs a year or two to re-group to shake this off. There are tons of holes on this team right now, to include the staff. This game will be a bigger let down than the LSU game. Don't do it to yourself.

Very profound and insightful. Thanks for sharing.

Works both ways though

Using your logic, why not just forfeit?

You do know Diaz has made some major changes to his defense including adding a "striker" position that really helps change the dynamics of the defense in not being able to zone in on the extra LB to harass as we've seen with McCloud

Incredible, right? It's also the last time they were in a national championship game, with 09 being the last time they were nationally relevant. They've been in the wilderness for about a Decade, we've been there for about 14 years (04 being our last BCS win).
