Kaaya and Herman should've pulled hammies week 3
Richt had a bad loss to VTOh so no defense for the coach you guys are all slobbing over now?Anyone thinking Herman is some kind of program savior is wrong
407cane in January 2014: "We are so lucky to have Al Golden"
Cool
It was a bad loss.
Doesn't change the fact that Herman is legit.
Doesn't mean he isn't legit
Coincidently the last time he was calling playsRicht had a bad loss to VTOh so no defense for the coach you guys are all slobbing over now?407cane in January 2014: "We are so lucky to have Al Golden"

Richt had some of the best talent in the country at his disposal when he was at Georgia and he last won a Conference Title there in 2005.
What part of "Herman is a lame duck" sounded inconclusive? Do you have a reason for why he choked away the season with the same roster?
Being a lame duck, even if you're using the term incorrectly, isn't an excuse for not having your team prepared. Dudes were in position for a playoff spot, but you somehow think the kids gave up? And that it isn't the fault of the coach? Weird.
He's approaching the end of his tenure at Houston. That's exactly the definition of a political lame duck.
You've still not said why you think the season has gone the way it has.
The term has a negative connotation because that exiting political figure has no power. That's why you're using it incorrectly. Houston's coach hasn't reached a term limit.
The season has gone the way it has because Hermann has marginal talent and he's not the genius that everyone thinks he is.

Would still take Herman in a heartbeat. His team destroyed FSU last year.
Also, give Chad Morris some love.
That guy is a good coach. He'll get a bigger job in a few years.
Herman is a super Al Golden. Couple of good years and he's the next big coach (you forget Al Golden was super hyped too) . If he'd come here and struggled, everyone would have crushed the administration for hiring a guy who was a flash in the pan. If Butch had been hired and struggled, it's because the game had passed him by and he was never that good to begin with if you look at his actual record. ****, if we'd hired Saban and he didn't turn this team around in year one, porsters would say that Saban can't win without SEC bagmen and was a bad hire for our program. Richt ain't Saban, but he has a much longer track record of success than Herman and hasn't been in the coaching booth and out of the recruiting game for the last six years. I am shocked that offense is such a problem this year but Richt has enough credibility that he gets at least until next year before I declare him to be a bad hire (doesn't have to win a championship next year, but he should at least manage to win the coastal and beat FSU). My personal ranking for our coaching hire (if we had to do it again) : 1. Fedora 2. Richt 3. Les Miles (with a good OC!) 4. Doc Holliday (Marshall) 5. Charlie Strong 6/7 Fuente or Herman (basically same kind of coaches to me without extensive record of success ) 100. Butch Davis - he had his chance, he blew it. No take backs.

Herman beat more ranked teams last season than Golden did in his entire Temple tenure. Remember, the Cougs beat Florida State in the bowl game, they also beat OU in the season opener this year. Herman gets his "Midmajor" team up for those big games, against name opponents, and that's why people are salivating at the thought of him coaching at a school with legit resources, and recruiting chops. You can have some nice runs at Houston, but that school isn't where you want to be for the long haul. That's why Sumlin and Briles left.

Chad Morris and Tom Herman are practically the same coach, just that Herman took his first job with a better program. Remember, Houston was winning 6-7 games under Tony Levine, who inherited the program from Sumlin, who in turn had gotten his shot after Art Briles left for Baylor. They've had some legit hires over there in Houston over the last decade and change. That said, I can't help but laugh at the idiots that look at Herman's last month as some kind of indictment, forgetting that we have **** near two seasons of material on the guy, and he's shown early on that he's legit. Can he fail at his next stop? Of course he can, that's true of any coach not named Nick Saban or Urban Meyer. Even Meyer was a question mark when he took the UF job, a lot of people didn't think he would be able to do what he did in the SEC.
Urban Meyer just lost to James Franklin, does that make him a bum? Only an idiot would look at a couple of games, and then make snap judgments on a coach, or any leader.

He beat a FSU team that I believe had lost its motivation when it landed in the Peach Bowl. See it all the time in bowl Season where a disappointed team mails it in. He beat an average Oklahoma team first game of season. Whoopy doo. Al golden beat Oklahoma too. Houston has orders of magnitude better talent than Navy and got worked. Houston also has far better talent than SMU and lost by a greater margin to them than we did to VT (who is closer talent wise to us than SMU is to Houston). Underperforming with better talent - we've seen that story before.
Do people realize that he coaches at Houston?
HOUSTON.
He's the only reason yall even watch that school play football. SMH @ trying to discredit that dude.
I've always liked Chad Morris. I think in a couple years he will move on to a bigger program and won't disappoint.
