DNA doesn't lie

Until he's convicted by a jury or judge AFTER a trial then he hasn't legally been proven to be guilty.

This isn't a judgment on whether or not he is guilty by me, because NONE of us is privy to all of the evidence yet.....its just the legal due process followed in the USA

You're not using words properly.

First, nobody has to be "convicted" to be "PROVEN" to be guilty. People do things all the time, people are viewed as having done things all the time, without actually having a criminal trial and an adjudication of guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Yes, if FOR ANY REASON (including jury nullification) Cooper is found not guilty in a criminal court, then he will not do jail time. That doesn't mean he didn't do it.

I'm not going to be on his jury. I am entitled to come to my own conclusion about whether I believe that Cooper did this crime. I am still open-minded though, and if there is any EXCULPATORY evidence which proves that Cooper DID NOT do the crime, then I will take that into consideration.

But I don't have to wait until 12 people take a vote to come to my own thoughts on the matter. And how those 12 people vote is NOT the only determinant on whether Cooper did this crime or not.

OJ killed Nicole and Ron. But I understand how the criminal justice and legal systems work.

FYI If you get no response its because:

There is a line I choose to no longer cross. I will not argue or discuss topics with people who either suffer from dementia, obviously have reading comprehension issues, has recently suffered serious head injuries or is severely disabled anymore. It serves absolutely no purpose and nothing is ever gained.

Help me pass this along to anyone who fits this criteria. Thanks

As a non-lawyer and innocent bystander, I know enough to understand that there is a difference between guilty (or responsible) verdict in our judicial system (criminal or civil), and a personal judgement of guilt arrived at by a normally functioning and rational person based on available data and logical interpretation of available facts.

Anybody remember when adults could tell the difference between reporting the news and clearly having an ax to grind?

It's comical that people think reporting the situation the kid got himself into is somehow "tearing him down", like if it doesn't get reported by a T&F website it will all go away. He made a mistake, and part of that is taking your medicine.
Whats sad is he didn't have enough common sense to put his track career first. Dont do the crime if you can't do the time....

I wonder how many times he was warned of the path he was on , I’m sure it’s overwhelming.
Well he’s a statistic now and assigned a number , has he started blaming yet ?

He made a choice he knew was bad yet went with it .

Welcome to adulthood real world, he’ll still get a free ride and room and board though

Same dopes saying how sad this is would want him fried in Old Sparky if he robbed them at gun point. Fck this *******. Get him out of society. Sticking guns in peoples' faces because he's too much of a **** to go get a job and earn an honest living.

Pardon me, but I am rolling my eyes at your surface level comments

Plenty of innocent people in jail and plenty of guilty ones in the outside.
The justice system is corrupted.

You got that right.

As for me, that's why I wait to hear ALL the evidence from BOTH sides and the trial BEFORE drawing any conclusions.

Roll away. This dude's a fcking loser and should sit in solitary for 10 years to get his head right. You feel sad for some ******* sticking a gun in some poor dope's face just trying to make his $10 per hour at a Verizon store?
You can't speak on anyones life or upbringing. You are giving up on a human life. You don't know what type of things people been through. You don't know how many people walking around hurt. Not to mention the way the system in amerikkka is set up.

Imagine commenting on someone else life, when you got no knowledge of anything.

I’ll just say in general that if someone goes up to someone else, sticks a gun in their face and robs them, then they should go to jail. I’m assuming that this is something we all can agree upon???

what does jail or prison do? Nothing

Look into restorative justice.
This thread’s probably not going to make it much longer if this is going where I think it is.

No one gets a pass for robbing people with guns at point blank range. That is inexcusable and just as wrong regardless of who the perpetrators are and who the victims are.

You can tell who’s important when that white kid from wherever killed two people and people around the country raised money to get him out. Like churches donated to do so.

Both are victims.
