Having gone to UCF, I'm disappointed in my alma mater.

Good lord.

Act like you've been there. It just reeks of crying and b1tching about not being in the playoffs.

Maybe have a stronger schedule than 77th in the nation then some would take you more seriously.

It's their biggest win EVER to cap off an undefeated season. They're a little drunk give them a break.

I don’t care two cents for UCSF but I’m don with this. They are a major school that went undefeated and beat the one team that beat both the teams now playing for the fake NCs. Bama had no business in the playoff, that should have been ucf’s spot. They probably get their rear beat but we had no chance against NE in 1983 either. Under today system The U would never have happen. Beating Arburn makes their bones.

This is like that time the Million Dollar Man made his own belt b/c he couldn’t get a crack at the real one. Lol.

Hindsight is 20/20. Before they beat Auburn how many actually took them seriously enough to put them in the playoffs?

In 1983, the 'Canes played 8 current P5 teams prior to the Orange Bowl. G5 Cincy and Houston were played on the road. ECU was the only G5 at home and gave Miami a game.

Sorry, no comparison.

I would be all in favor of the winner of the Natty playing UCF in the Camping World Bowl.

The beatdown Bama would give these Tards would be memorable.

Lmfao. UCF is not a “major school.” They played nobody all year, then got a month to prepare for three-loss Auburn. The only P5 team they played was Maryland. If they want to be in the playoff, they need to prove that they are capable of beating an elite team in the regular season and then continuing their run, like everyone else has to do.

Miami played the toughest schedules in the country in the 80s.

LOL UCF over Bama in the playoffs LOL. Bama would **** stomp that team and I hate Bama. The UCF hype is insane at this point. Oh and transitive property doesn't work in evaluating sports teams so UCF beating Auburn doesn't mean they are better or would beat Georgia and/or Alabama. They would be double-digit underdogs in both of those games. But by all means continue with the fake championship rhetoric because UCF wasn't in the playoffs.

Cool.
Maybe we need to hoist a "2003 NCAA Champions" banner as well.

I use this one:

Why does anybody care that UCF wasn’t in the playoffs? They didn’t play anybody. It’s not a coincidence that they went undefeated when they didn’t have to play any good P5 teams. OSU would beat UCF by 40 and they weren’t in the playoffs.

Fundamental difference between 1983 Miami and UCF. Miami played a top of the line independent schedule. Go and look at Miami's schedule that year, lots of major conference opponents, of varying quality. UCF played a pretty lousy schedule, and didn't even bother to go out and really push themselves OOC. Compare their schedule this year, to what Houston played last year. Had the Cougs went undefeated, or even finished with one well timed loss, they would have had a legit argument, due to how aggressive they were in seeking out top flight competition. UCF played their garbage schedule, beat the one team on the schedule worth a ****, and are now trying to scream that they are national champs. In other words, they tried the BYU scam, and just like no one takes the 1984 title seriously, no one will take this seriously.

By the way, Houston was in the SWC at the time, which was a major conference. People forget that.

Thanks for the catch!

Have to agree with Finebaum on this.....totally stupid on UCF part to attempt an infringement on the Nat'l Champ game/sponsor (AT&T). Have all the celebrations you want to but this is a stupid move by UCF AD. The NCAA should put a stop to it. Total Kiffin like move to gain attention.
