Phony schedule, phony conference.

They are lucky the GT game was cancelled.

LOl, their AD didnt even try to keep their great coach, just let him waltz away to Nebraska. Who did they hire as HC, BTW?

With that third tier conference, they have to play real OOC games to be considered legit, and they dont.

Look at Bama's schedule THIS year and tell me it isn't any more phony. Their best regular season win was against a team that lost to Troy.

If the BCS is only going to be open for P5 schools, they should just say that. Of course the non P5 schools are going to have easier schedules because generally the rest of the teams aren't competitive with the vast majority of P5 teams. So then folks argue, "Well, they could have tougher OOC schedules." Problem is the schedules are made years in advance so there is no way to figure out if the big OOC team will be any good. For example, say two years ago UCF put UF and FSU on the schedule for this year. Would it have helped their playoff argument to beat those teams this year? Probably not much. All a team can do is win the games on the schedule. They did that, so I feel like there needs to be a way to get them into the playoffs. I don't have any particular affection for UCF or Kiffin, but it is basically impossible for these schools to break through in the BCS system.

Maybe the 6 team playoff, with 5 conference winners and 1 at large would be solution (top 2 get bye). 2 at large would be more fair, but don't see how you get that without leaving out one of the P5 conferences.

I've seen a lot of back and forth on the should UCF have gotten in or should they have not. I say no. Their schedule strength is 77th. Also, the Auburn win didn't come until AFTER the playoff had been set. Up until then there only "marquee" wins were USF in a shootout and then beating a Memphis team in an overtime game. (btw Memphis lost at home to Iowa State in a bowl game). The P5 teams they were set to play, MD and GT both finished below .500 (GT was cancelled). Their argument is dead. You know your conference sucks and isn't strong, if you want to be in the discussion then play tougher OOC games. Also, where was the outrage for Western Michigan last year?

Now everyone that wants to crap on Bama's schedule needs to reassess themselves about the FSU win. Regardless of how bad FSU's team ended Bama handled a full strength FSU, THEY put the QB out for the year in the 4th quarter when the game was well in hand. They didn't beat up on Blackman. That win after season's end doesn't look spectacular but the optics are not always what they seem. Also, they play in the SEC, and the west division. Yea, that conference was really top heavy this year but the level of competition week in and week out was head and shoulders above everything UCF played until UCF played a glorified scrimmage against a team that could careless about being there in Auburn.

People want to bring up that Bama has a loss, fine they do. But Bama plays UCF's schedule what happens? Do they win every game by close to 20 points? Most likely. If UCF plays Bama's schedule are they still undefeated? Most Likely no.

I understand they may feel slighted but they really shouldn't. They had a great season and should be proud of it. They AD is jackwad for holding a parade and hanging a banner. This everyone gets a trophy crap is annoying.

So when is a member of fawning media going to call Danny White's (I feel bad for the former Cowboy's QB; some people probably think it is him) bluff? Save all the $$$ from the parade and go Independent. If Notre Dame went undefeated, no question they are in...But in that case, they faced down UGA in the first game of the season, beat USC and beat a motivated 'canes team on Saturday night at Hard Rock.

Time to put your $$$ where your mouth is Danny boy...Your coaching staff knows the score or they wouldn't have left. Leave the weak AAC and play the big boys...Trust me, it's not the Mickey Mouse Club!

Got no problem with it......Bama has claimed multiple natuijal championship in the past

i don't see why everyone is so butthurt about this since it has zero bearing on our program. ****'s hilarious and it's driving bama/uga fans up the wall.

they know that it's not official, but that's the point. the playoff system as it stands is complete bull****. the bcs' problem was determining the best 2, but it was usually spot-on about the best 4-8 teams in the country.

scrap this retarded committee, give us an 8 team playoff. all p5 champs, top g5 champ, 2 at large using a bcs-style formula to get the highest 2 teams that aren't conference champions.

They played at least 8 teams that are light years better than any UCF opponent, I'd say. Yes, Bama had a easy schedule as it turned out, but it was way harder than UCFs.

If UCF opened with FSU, and played LSU, MSU, etc, I doubt they would win 8 games.

Conference is just a fraud, and their OOC schedule couldnt have been weaker.

They now avoid the Fl schools as well. No more UM or FSU games. Panzy *** second tier mentality.

honestly if you watched the **** UCF Auburn game you woulda seen they can probably beat us easily, and would have probably put up a good fight with Bama or OSU. There are teams which will match up better with them than others but they are a good team.

If this was 10 years ago they would have had a SHARE of the title, thats for sure. I think if they are smart they use this as a spring board to get into a P5 conference, not say they are national champions.

Having gone to UCF, I'm disappointed in my alma mater.

Good lord.

Act like you've been there. It just reeks of crying and b1tching about not being in the playoffs.

Maybe have a stronger schedule than 77th in the nation then some would take you more seriously.

Only undefeated team in the nation. Proved they weren't a G-5 one trick pony with a win over Auburn. I feel a bit bad for em.

You don't think UCF beats FSU this year? Scott Frost was the OC when Oregon put up 59 on FSU....

If UCF opened with FSU they blow em out and have momentum going into LSU, and beat an LSU team that struggled with Troy this year. UCF would be Top 10 after those 2 games alone.

But its not just one game, it's the grind of playing 7-10 games against some serious athletes...Athletes who can knock out your starting QB, RB, TE...Your Will, your Sam, Your Mike, your best Nickel corner...

They didn't have that in the AAC this year and when they have played the Miami's, Florida's, OSUck's, Michigan's and FSU's over the years, they have lost every time.

There's the problem. lol.

I don't blame them a bit, why the **** not? Everybody knows the deal. If you can't actually get the trophy, have one made.

Pretty sure Alabama did this when there were no recognized NCs way back when with leather helmets and like a 7-0 record. Just name yourself champion and throw it in your laundry list of championship years.
