Random question, anyone in here had to do PCL surgery before? Mentioned in other thread but I blew my knee out 2 weeks ago hiking in Yellowstone, just got my surgery done yesterday. My surgeon was the Dolphins team doctor for 15 years, so hes definitely experienced, was wondering what the road to recovery looks like for a 30 year old.

What kind of a recovery prognosis did your orthpod give you?

PCL, MCL, ACL and Miniscus for me back in 2001.

MAKE SURE YOU GO TO MULTIPLE PHYSICAL THERAPISTS.

If you want full function I recommend stationary bike and single leg squats on your own. I went into the Navy with no working hamstring and right gluteus because team ****** didn't do their jobs.

Did somebody take a machete to your knee? That sounds like one of the most catastrophic knee injuries I’ve ever heard of ...

I played soccer and was playing the left striker position. The defense was moving the ball from my right to the left. I planted my right foot and pivoted left and my cleat stuck while my knee went "Leeroy Jenkins" and it felt like a bomb went off.

I went to Dr. Mehli's office in Fort Lauderdale. Surgery went great. He told me it was the worst knee injury he had ever seen. "You don't have a knee Tim here are the pieces : pointing at X-Ray : of where it is up in your thigh and calf I've never seen anything like this."

I still run a 4.32 40 don't like @Tee3000 tell you otherwise with his slow ***.

I work for a huge private company down here we have our own doctors, nurses, therapist, nutrionist etc. Going to be doing therapy at work 3 times a week.

I fractured my Tibula, Fibula, and completely ruptured my PCL. I had twisted my ankle 2 days prior, and on Saturday hiked 16 miles, I had .25 miles left, stopped for breather planted my foot and ankle gave out. When the ankle gave out my **** got wrecked lol. Thankfully a father son duo helped carry my *** down the trail, the closest hospital was 3 hours away.
