OT PCL Surgery

No lol, so the outpost is way at the top of the hill and it’s just one of those places we’re youre curiosity runs like what the **** is up there? So my wife and I hiked up there but I saw red poles that basically said don’t go any further so I was like yea I’m not tying to find out what’s up there. Apparently the son who’s 17 didn’t care and he went up and dad stayed back. Couple mins go by and dad Ian like where’s my son, so he goes up and notices the ranger has his son in a headlock lol. That’s where the ranger ask if he has anything on him, and dad tells ranger my son is carrying a .38. Thankfully he let them go.

Jesus lol

Rangers sound like they use excessive force faster than cops unless the son told him to go **** himself or something lol.

Nah he said he was just walking around, and got thrown to the ground and put in a headlock lol. Mind you kid is white as snow and maybe 140-150 pounds soak and wet lol.

PCL, MCL, ACL and Miniscus for me back in 2001.

MAKE SURE YOU GO TO MULTIPLE PHYSICAL THERAPISTS.

If you want full function I recommend stationary bike and single leg squats on your own. I went into the Navy with no working hamstring and right gluteus because team ****** didn't do their jobs.

I sprained my pcl mcl and acl just like you, but it was in a basketball game. I went to stop on a fast break and as soon as I planted my right knee it sounded like ripping and stretching a handful of rubberbands. Luckily they were light sprains and didnt require surgery. My knee was super swollen for a couple weeks because the bone on bone impact. I couldnt imagine having them all need to be surgically fixed.

They took a piece of my tibia and grafted it with some other **** and shoved it all up in there.

Surgeries are a lot less invasive now a days.

I remember when the physical therapist goes "ok take 3 pain killers because tomorrow were moving your knee."

My dad said I iust passed out immediately and woke up with them swaying it back and forth lol. I dont ever wanna feel any of that again. Everytime I see a knee injury I grab mine involuntarily.

It took me a long time just to some what trust mine again. I still wear a brace when playing a football or basketball game, I couldnt imagine going through all that.

Mine gave me issues in ways that perplex me to this day.

But that story is too long to type.

Crazy

I fractured my Tibula, Fibula, and completely ruptured my PCL. I had twisted my ankle 2 days prior, and on Saturday hiked 16 miles, I had .25 miles left, stopped for breather planted my foot and ankle gave out. When the ankle gave out my **** got wrecked lol. Thankfully a father son duo helped carry my *** down the trail, the closest hospital was 3 hours away.

Wait...WTF?????

Holy sheeeeet.

So you’re hiking on a twisted ankle, ok, maybe a little painful but no real big deal, and when you planted your foot you rolled that same ankle and then proceeded to break your tibia and fibula? So basically your leg blew up from the knee down? Did you step in a hole?

WOW!

Nah no hole was fully planted flat surface but was on a decline, my ankle is totally ok just my knee blew out. What’s funny is when there was about a mile left in the hike I could feel the ankle tender, I just didn’t think anything of it. .75 miles later that bad boy gave out, and all **** broke loose lol.

Dope dope pictures. I just took my kid to Yosemite & the Grand Canyon this summer.

Next year we’re going to the Yellowstone & The Arches.

I travel quite a bit, yet haven’t managed to get my sorry *** to Yellowstone, etc.

I need to make the Yellowstone trip as well as Yosemite, ASAP.

How close were you to that brown bear?

That's the point they just shoot horses . . .

The first bear maybe 30 yards, second bear was at first 80 yards ****** got as close as 15 lol.

I might lose bladder control if one got that close.

Pretty much at that distance, if a bear wants to fūck you up, he’s gonna fūck you up and there’s not a **** thing you can do about it.

I’m not about to go out like Timothy Treadwell LOL

So is that bear spray supposed to stop them in their tracks?

Arches is cool but I wasn't a fan that the hikes were so short, I love long hikes or challenging hikes. The best part about arches though is its in Moab, and Its 20 mins away from Canyonlands National Park highly recommend hitting both parks.

We did three days in Moab - one at Arches and two at Canyonlands. Amazing geology at both. I still think Zion has the best hiking of the three, though.
