OT Paul Chryst fired at Wisconsin

This is as boneheaded a move as firing Bo Pellini from Nebraska! Absolute idiots! They will suffer the same fate as Nebraska, mark my words.

Probably. Certain schools need to simply accept what they are and how they can produce football at a semi decent level. Just like some coaches
With the exception of maybe Minnesota, the rest of those teams are nothing like Wisky.

How so? Just wondering. My point was, none of those teams are going to be national title contenders, ever. Ever. If it hasn't happened in 100 years.....then it's not happening lol I get so tired of these loser school being allowed to have "Conference affiliation" advantages when you have other schools with better resources chomping at the bit to get a CHANCE to be in those conferences. Texas schools (Houston), FL schools (UCF, USF) and a number of other southern schools. Really, why the **** is Iowa, Iowa State, Vandy etc etc in CFP conferences? Because they were born 100 year ago? That's like the "British Royals" lol

The new age of college football may be passing them by. NIL and all this offense is not their MO

They will going after Leipold.

Still kind of a head scratcher regarding Chryst.

Probably the reason you stated, and they probably want to get in front of Nebraska for Leipold. They should look at the KState coach too.

Wiscy is one of those stupid *** programs that will never win anything and are just mid level fillers for scheduling purposes. They can want all they "Want", and it won't matter. Maybe once in a blue moon they will have a trip to the Rose Bowl or some ****, but that is about it. There are probably 20-30 programs just like Wiscy in the Big Conferences. Iowa, Iowa State, Wiscy, Illinois, NEB, Rutgers, KState, Kansas, BC, Cuse, Duke, Indiana, Minnesota, Purdue, Vandy, Arizona, Oregon State, etc etc etc.

CFB needs to be gutted. There are probably another 20+ non big conf schools in the South that have better positioning to make something happen for themselves than these loser schools who have spent a literal 100 years and never done ANYTHING of worth. The CFB system as a whole is comical.

I doubt you watch any college football if you are tossing the likes of Illinois, Nebraska, Rutgers, BC, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Purdue, Arizona, and Oregon State in with Wisconsin. One of the more mid-wit takes I have seen on here in a long time.

He‘s 56 and he‘s gonna get 16.4 Million.

He ain’t ever coaching again.

Hoodies aint that expensive.
I would invest 1/3 using 60/40 at his age... and the second 1/3 on dividend only and then live off the rest. Wisconsin can't be an expensive place to live. He did what he could and beat the teams he could. Nothing else to prove to himself I'm sure.

So the Blob is winning with Lovie Smith's players and doesn't need 3 years to wait for his players to come into the program. Wow say it ain't so

My brother from another;

UI was 5-7 last yr. Lol. They look night & day different in yr 2, which is typical.

That’s what I’m thinking. Or, UW just pulled a Nebraska when they fired Solich, and they’ll live to regret it.

Chryst’s worst season, other than the Covid throw away year, was 8-5. That includes four 10+win seasons.

Wisky fcuked up.
I think he'll be able to resurrect his career, but give it 72 hours.

I caught the second half of the game. I was like **** they crushing Wisconsin. Those two backs are serious and the wide receiver room is solid
Yeah man, I thought Bret was going to be a hack there after last yr, but my goodness; this is the best Illinois team since that Rashard Mendenhall group. And I’m not talking record, but legit how they play. They should be undefeated, but got a bit hosed in that Indiana game by some convenient missed calls.

OK. How many national title runs has Wiscy made in the last 100 years? How many have they won? How many have they made legit "Claim" for? It's all the same garbage. 1 or 2 games difference. Wiscy is NEVER competing for a national title. NEVER. Am I wrong???

Watch out for Narduzzi here. He was there first choice before Chryst.
Corch Dooz would be a massive downgrade. Would be funny though for them to poach two consecutive Pitt coaches. Those crybabies aren't even done whining about Addison (although I'd probably be suicidal this specific season if we lost a WR like that).

If Leonhard gets passed up for an opportunity as HC (not interim status)....he gone.

And I know the perfect place for him...even though DC goes to Charlie if/when Steele bolts.

Leonhard likely winds up replacing Narduzzi at Pitt....he's gotta be one of the next coordinators to get a HC job.

Maybe Gattis would take the HC job at Wisconsin...offensive concept would definitely match the personnel
