OT: NFL Draft

Lots of players on the board who I'd love Miami to take with the 16th pick of Round 2:

Jawaan Taylor, Cody Ford, Greedy Williams, Rock Ya-Sin, Justin Layne, Lonnie Johnson Jr., Jaylon Ferguson, Nasir Adderley, etc. I'd love if Miami snagged one of those 8. ****, I'd even be down for Drew Lock in Round 2, that'd be tremendous value.

He is better

My eyes say Devin Bush is overrated.... good player but definitely not better than Shaq or Pinckney. Good instincts and speed for the position but Isn’t strong enough at the point of contact. I think he’s going to get ran over a lot. Shaq and Pinckney definitely won’t have that problem in the NFL.

LMAO!!!!!!! Homer all day. Bush is way better than Pink and Shaq. I'm guessing you only watch Miami play.

I was literally ****ed off. That b*tch trey wingo couldnt wait to get to talking about it...they didnt even show the guys name, highlights , nothing..they spent 10 mins talking about a fight from when he was in high school. That was downright disgusting...because it was not the reason he fell at all.

It was terrible. They kept hyping his ability up and they didn't bother to show details on him beyoind the fight. Like you said, embarassing. They kept prefacing the video over and over talking about how disgusting it was and be warned. The video of course was bad, but cmon man, did it really warrant all that nonsense especially considering all they talked about afterwards was that he by all accounts is a model citizen?

As a Bucs fan I wanted Ed Oliver. Probably all the “next Aaron Donald” hype. White definitely fills a need.
But if they would have just paid Kwon Alexander we wouldn’t have had to spend a top 5 pick on a linebacker..

We've seen in the past couple of draft cycles teams get less of that trigger finger early...maybe one team gets desperate and makes a move to jump very high, but some of these teams sit back and make a move into that 8-13 range (Watson, Mahomes, Lamar, Rosen, Allen).

With that said, Giants would be bozos and it'd be a very Gettleman move to not "know the room" on Daniel Jones and instead of try and trade up from 17 (he doesn't trade up or back...because hes a trash GM) just take him at 6 and take BPA (Edge or OL) at 17.

Gettleman not knowing the room on Daniel Jones and picking up the biggest player in the draft is the most Dave Gettleman thing ever.

I'm actually still concerned Miami drafts Rashan Gary despite the injury. Steve Ross loves Michigan players and I don't trust the team's management.

I never understood how teams draft a guy that never tore it up at the collegiate level, but think they're going to suddenly do so in the NFL.

And it seems they never had a chance anyway.

Gary is very much a Packers pick. They went all in to help the pass rush...Za'Darius Smith, Preston Smith, and now Gary...not bad.

If you are the Bucs, who would you take at the top of the 2nd round? I’m thinking one of the ole miss receivers. I prefer Aj brown over metcalf but he’s good too
We do not need a WR. We need to go safety, edge rusher, or Guard

Only problem is Gary is not necessarily a pass rusher, 10.5 sacks in 34 games is terrible tbqh

Steelers took a kid from Pembroke Pines 10th overall to replace a kid from Plantation that was taken 15th overall. I know the recruiting "quirks" of South Florida (and of those two specific examples) but it's still gonna be much nicer when these kids are Canes instead.

That's what I kept thinking.

I know we can't get them all, but seeing all these South Florida kids go in the 1st round last night, it would be nice if we could start getting at least 1 or 2 of them.

I mean I’m high on Evans and Godwin but we need a game breaker at receiver imo. Edge rusher for sure as Noah Spence hadn’t really planned out. Trading for JPP was a fantastic move though and I hope one of those deals will be available again this year

Got to recruit broward county better, they have been producing a lot of studs in college football and the nfl lately even more so than Dade county..
