Shocked that miss state is on that list. Vandy twice is easy money. Tamu not bad Kentucky meh. But Georgia bama tennesse ole miss auburn would all surprise meNo Bama has never had a Black HC.
In fact, there have only ever been 5 in the history of the SEC:
- Sylvester Croom at Miss St
- Joker Phillips at Kentucky
- James Franklin at Vandy
- Kevin Sumlin at TAMU
- Derek Mason at Vandy
My thought was that the Corleones on the USC Board of Trustees were going to offer Urban the job once JAX let him go.
Poor Mario Cristobal: so close to USC, so far from God.
I give him credit. You also have to credit the rock solid organization around him. They evaluate well. They hire well. Their culture is authentic, consistent, and embraced. He's part of that, but some of it existed prior to his leadership. Steelers fans should be grateful for a well-run organization. It's difficult to put that together.
His seat will be hot in State College again if they get run out of the stadium against OSU. He’s piling up the Ls up there.I guess James Franklin it is, then
Just like we get to see with BB now, let’s see how he does without a HOF QB.
If Pittsburgh fans don't appreciate him, i'd gladly support him taking over the rudderless ship in Miami........the Dolphins that is. Flo can walk.
I don’t know about run circles. Reid and Payton has choked away some many big time games.Thats okay, but Reid and Payton run circles around him in my honest opinion...
He'd have an offer from every NFL team with an opening (and some willing to make an opening) within an hour.
I'm probably coming off as some fanboy of the guy in this thread too but it's just the truth of the matter despite any of his gameday flaws.
Yup, has never had a losing season. If AB and Bell weren't divas and Ben wasn't a fat sack of ****, he might have another ring.Tomlin doesn't get enough credit. He has a 148-81 record (65% winning percentage) in the NFL. The only guys with a winning % that high with that many games are George Allen, George Halas, Don Shula, Paul Brown and Bill Belichick.
First, you’re far from a fan boy, @Tad Footeball, for me, you’re one of best posters on this board; second, obviously I’m not an English/or grammatical major, but dude you’re putting the read together in layman’s term!! Thank youHe'd have an offer from every NFL team with an opening (and some willing to make an opening) within an hour.

Maybe he believes his current position is? Some guys value the NFL over college believe it or not. He did start at the college level but he's been a NFL guy for 20 years, has no ties to USC. When he got into coaching, maybe the NFL was always his end goal.He might have those offers but he's acting as if he's above college football and that's my point.

Yup, and TAMU isn't even a traditional SEC school so they don't even really count lolThat's ******* insane....in a bad way
I mean the dude is in his 14th season with the team and he's getting ready for a big divisional game this week. I can see why he would be annoyed, especially if the rumors are bull**** to begin with.I get all that but don't get mad at a question as if they're disrespecting you by asking it.
Were they even in the SEC when Sumlin was there? Can’t remember?Yup, and TAMU isn't even a traditional SEC school so they don't even really count lol
