OT: Ireland/Scotland...where to go?

Primary and secondary schools are closed in Mexico which started yesterday, I believe (more precautionary at this point).

Brazil and Chile are the ones that have the case counts running up.

Mexico has picked up over the past week or so, but still fewer than 100 total cases.

Hard to know how much testing is being done per country, of course.

If the coronavirus IS temperature sensitive Latin America (and Africa) could be better off.

Too early yet.
Supposedly, hot & humid is bad for virus. Humidity makes it heavy when someone coughs and it doesn't spread as far and the heat makes it deactivate or go dormant or something. Sunshine is natural disinfectant so being at a beach in FL is not bad, but being there with ****load of drunken people trying to mate is. In Fl summer is the wet season and hot so it should get better here.

That's interesting, makes sense

For what its worth.

A video was circulating two days ago on YouTube, that says the virus begins in the sinus cavity and can be easily killed by breathing air 133F or hotter.

The video points out in sub-Saharan deserts it gets that hot so humans can withstand it. He said all you needed was a hairdryer.

Showed how you cover the air-intake end with one hand (to make it hotter) and breath in the heated air through your nose. Keep a water spray bottle to spray your face so it doesn’t get too hot (helps humidity). You do this for five minutes, then drain nose with saline spray. Repeat an hour later.

I just went to get the URL to post as a comment to this discussion but YouTube has deleted it because of policies.
