OT: How about an OTH (otherthanhiphop) music thread?

Psychedelic surf music. What’s not to like? Kinda like **** Dale on acid or Jimi Hendrix goes for a swim..... Love their stuff.... again, not your cliche surf rock.... not that there’s anything wrong with that.....

Some newer jazz... I like John Scofield and the guitar in their mix like in this video, but the traditional Medeski Martin Wood jazz trio line up can get OUT THERE. If you like some really strange avant garde acid jazz and want to go places, these guys can do it.

One of the greatest living Organ/Keyboardist on Earth.

**** yes LCE. I have seen him in all different bands, superjams, etc. He is a fixture around New Orleans during jazzfest time, and have been to many shows of his that ended sometime between 6 am and 7 am. Great addition to the thread with these videos.

Will your son play football or will he ultimately be the 6’6” giant rambling down the soccer field?

He will play football eventually, but now that he is young we want him to develop his foot work, balance, change of direction hip flexibility, and continue to improve his already exceptional hand eye coordination (the little guy will kill you with 3's all day if you let him).

In middle school I will have him take up salsa dancing as well, is phenomenal for developing foot work and body control flexibility.

Happy Friday, y'all. May it be as funky as the start to Robert Palmer's start to Sneakin Sally Through the Alley album. The Meters were his backing band for the album and it shines through.

Great Bands with great songs
