OT: Eddie Robinson Jr was right?

Bigger question is why do many of the HBCU alums not do more for their athletic programs? Speaking of Eddie Robinson Jr, I remember reading players on Grambling program complaining about locker room not being functional, including showers not working, etc....where are the alums and alleged fans of HBCUs?
Not defending Sanders but at end of day he is not HBCU alum, doesn't really owe those schools anything.
No money.

The wealthiest white man in America is worth $150 billion. The richest black man is only worth $8 billion. Our wealthiest black citizens don’t usually attend HBCU’s. The brain drain.

White high school graduates have more wealth than black college graduates. People don’t grasp the wealth disparity between the two communities that exists even when black people do the right things.

The problem is old and deep.

My 2 cents... he's got every right to take any job offered to him that he wants to...

I'm not shocked he left and knew he wouldn't stay long at Jackson St, but with that goes all the publicity that followed him there... Gameday, ESPN, NIL deals etc... I think that's what has people upset is that he made it a big deal to bring HBCU's back the spotlight and then left before it could really get there.

But lets be real Deion has always been about Deion

he probably had a change of heart and liked coaching more than he thought he would

i'm pretty indifferent about it, but just lol if you think sanders isn't doing stuff for sanders. A better opportunity came, he jumped, get over it hbcu.

What would you say if Mario took the Bama job if Saban announced his retirement given all the **** he said about this “U” means something?
Kim Kardashian Celebs GIF
...... It would be a hypocrite's dream in this place.... More moral high horse riders would have their legs cut out from under them quicker than you could blink with everyone of them screaming "I told ya so, I knew it all along!!!!!!!!!!!!"...... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Having breakfast this morning with Carter I mentioned Deion Sanders was going to be Colorado's next head coach, and he asked imo a really good question.

"Why is he leaving? What happened to the whole HBCU thing he was doing? If I were Travis Hunter I'd be mad."

Does the whole thing he did there and what he was pitching now look funny in the light now that he's going somewhere that he was trying to convince young black players not to go to? To come to a HBCU and lift it up?
Travis Hunter was on his discord or twitch stream watching Coach Prime give his speech and said we coming coach!!

There are more black billionaires in the US than the rest of the world combined.

There's that old attorney saying, when you have the facts on your side, shout the facts. When you have the law on your side, shout the law. When you have neither, shout like ****.

In that line of thinking, when you're at an HBCU, you play up building HBCUs.

When you're at a lily white PWI, you play up snow bunnies, ski slopes, and good weed.

Josh Pate made some points last night.

Held up a blank paper with a list of names of any sane person who would turn down the opportunity to continue coaching at a HBCU for $300,000.00/yr. when they could elevate themselves coaching at a P5 for $5,000,000.00/yr. Money is a trump card in most business deals and not a single damned one of you would turn down a raise of $4.7 million a year and increased status coaching in the most competitive level of college football so you can make a social statement. I'm sorry but any of you can claim that you would but no one is actually going to when put in that situation; so why then should anyone expect him to stay there at Jackson State? Give him his dues. He's done a lot already for that program but he's not the only talented up-and-coming black coach to carry on the torch. Let someone else fill the gap he leaves.

deion is going to rustle a few feathers in boulder colorado, to say the least. hide the women! i don´t know whether they are ready for prime time. i wish him lots of success even if some of the gospel hypocritical sermon persona bullsh!t is sometimes revolting. he´s the only nole that i can tolerate (and warrick dunn)

What does that have to do with what I posted?

Point was that the pool of money available to HBCU’s is much, much, much smaller than for other universities.

It’s good to know there are more black billionaires in the US than in Russia or Germany or Japan. But since you brought it up, the richest individual blacks in the world are African tycoons. As the African economies continue to develop, it won’t be long before they surpass us in billionaires.

You should probably sit this one out.

There was a correlation if you don’t see it that’s ok and we can move on. I’ll go ahead and “sit this one out” as I don’t enjoy message board arguments. I’ll stick to the football on the main board. Which this thread should probably be moved to OT anyway.

FAMU started a fundraiser like Clemson's IPTAY in 2014, raised $500K in 4 months. Problem was, that there wasn't any followup by their Development Office...SMH. We have the resources, means, & wherewithal Bro, we just choose to buy LVs, Red Bottoms, & Rims!
