Off-Topic OT- Dogs

Beautiful dog. I came close to getting a Husky before settling on mine 18 months ago. Ended up not getting one because the fence in my back yard isn't tall enough. I had read they tend to be escape artists.

They absolutely are escape artists, will dig under a fence too!

We dropped her off for day care for the first time and the folks at the kennel said they had to move her out of the pen she was assigned to because she’d identified the latch within 5 minutes and was fooling with it trying to get out. Very smart, incredibly energetic, strong prey drive too. She’s like a different dog when we’re out on a hike or walk, it’s more a hunt for her than anything lol.

She’s “blue” but the color definitely is greyish blue. Some blue pits have more white on them. Every one I have had has been mostly blue but that’s because I picked them out and that’s what I go for. The first blue pit I ever had was stolen from the breeder because they were breeding to fight them. It was my second dog ever and I have gotten nothing but blue pits ever since. He was so young we had to bottle feed him. These pictures aren’t from when we first got him but he was still pretty young.
So cool. People who are dog lovers do anything for their dogs. It’s a fraternity I am happy to be apart of. The blue coloring of your pits is just fantastic.

We rescued our first boxer right before I got married. My mother told my wife and I the dog looks like it will be dead in a week because she was in such tough shape. She was around two when we rescued her, she was with us for 11 years. I firmly believe dogs know when they are in a good spot. You grabbed your dog from a fight club and bottle fed the pup. I love hearing that!

Thanks 🙏 I appreciate that. That’s a really cool story about your Boxer rescue. I LOVE hearing stories like that. Animals are special and your right people will do whatever for their dogs right or wrong unfortunately. We had brother and sister pits from the same litter that we had to give up when I got stationed in Germany. They won’t allow certain “aggressive breeds” which I think is bull**** but whatever. The reason we got these pits was because the father dog had gotten into the breeders prize chicken pen and ate the chicken. The breeder shot the father pit in the head and told his wife whatever dog was left when he got back home he was going to kill as well. They actually weren’t planning on getting rid of the puppies we got because they were the picks of the litter. They were going to keep the female for themselves and the male was for the wife’s brother. Crazy how **** happens.

View attachment 123111She's a Blue Nose Pit Bull, third one I have had. Raised properly, they are one of the best dogs out there imo.

Good looking dog. Definitely Has either staffordshire or bully in the mix or possibly both.

APBT are not designated by nose color FYI. They are designated by coat color and typically Pits have to be crossed with a staffy to achieve the “blue gene”.

Look at him "working"...being an observant protector. 👍🏻

I love Dogos. In my top-3 favorite breeds with Dobermans and Rotties.

My wife's Dogo...

Hey Coach! This is my sisters Rottie Bella. She's about a year and half old. Bella is my sister's third Rottie. My 2 nephews grew up with them. They are great with kids and you don't mess with the kids without Rottie intervention. Bella is fantastic with my sister's 5 granddkids.

Buddy D, my 7-year-old pit bull. He loves to jump the waves at the beach. He is the best and sweetist dog I have ever been around and super loyal. The neighborhood kids knock on the door a few times a week to see if Buddy D can come out to play. He plays frisbee with them.[

got two German shepherds, one
Is four years old, while the black on is about 7 months and imported straight from western Germany. Both dogs are highly intelligent and active. Stubborn too, but great ttb with kids. A few weeks ago a doberman tried to mess with one of my kids and the bigger shepherd tore that dog apart. Good breed.
