OT: Bruce Feldman On James Franklin To USC (Issac/Johnson Jr)

Ever been to Penn st? The place is in the middle of nowhere and if you drive for an hour or 2 in any direction all you pass is rednecks.

Have to drive by the state penitentiary to get there, too. Outside of the Philly area and the Burgh, Pennsylvania is full of phucking rednecks and Amish. Nothing inspiring about State College.

IMO USC is a 1st rate job & Penn St is a 2nd rate job. Just curious, but what schools do you guys consider 1st rate?

For me its USC, Notre Dame, Bama, Texas, Ohio State, UGA, FSU, FU, maybe Oklahoma and Miami SHOULD be in there also. They all have serious strengths with a weakness here or there. Texas really has the least amount of weakness imo.

IMO, LSU is 1st-rate. Great talent base nearby (NOLA), they’re not competing with any other in-State school for recruits. Baton Rouge is a great college town. Decent enough weather.

They crossed my mind, but to me they are just a step down, perhaps the best of the 2nd rate schools, though you may be right. I have to give them credit for the way they cherry pick Louisiana.

2nd rate Ive got LSU (maybe 1st rate), Auburn, Penn St, Michigan, Oregon, A&M, Clemson.

Michigan and A&M we're the two schools that came to mind when I saw your first list also I think the rest of the 2nd rate schools + Nebraska are first rate

Nebraska is barely 3rd rate IMO. With Tennessee, Mich St, Wisc, UCLA, Virginia Tech.

Am I doing this right?

Those fückers up in State College light up the Nittany Lion Logo on Beaver Stadium at night... it's like the Batman symbol for pedophiles.

The same way NJ lights up Kenneth’s b-hole at night

Michigan is 2nd rate? They have a cool city, they have a great education, tons of money for coaches and facilities, and are close to Detroit(I know but still)....The weather is an issue and recruiting can be tough with OSU but they have pull all over the Midwest and even get some FL kids. I think Michigan is def Tier 1

I don't think any of the Florida schools are T1 anymore. They are all T2s.

I would include Clemson and LSU as T1 schools. You can make the argument for Clemson as a T2 now but they will make the jump within 3 years.

I still have all 3 FL schools as Tier 1 because of the recruiting. Perhaps barely hanging on. I agree about Clemson, if they arent T1 yet, they will be soon.

I can totally see Franklin going to USCw, and I think it'd be a good hire. His recruiting is already at a very high level at Penn State. Imagine what he'd pull as the biggest game in town in one of the most talent-rich states. Not to mention he'd finally shed that progrum of its stupid pro-style infatuation.
