Listen if you score 30 in the first quarter man, go for a record game man. You earned that right to go for it. If I were HC I would have let him go for it and his team was cool with it, the Heat have a great HC and a great culture.

1000%. A lot of haters in this thread man. I love Kobe and everything he stands for but even in his last game he shot 50 shots to score 60.

You mean to tell me if your teammate or player is close to a record you aren’t gonna do everything you can to get him the record? Of course. Props to Spo for letting him do it.

I’m hoping this wakes Bam up and makes him super aggressive every game. He, and the Heat would be better off.

I suppose but it also helped that the Heat were up by double digits through out. It disrupted the flow of their offense getting him the ball as many times as they did and Bam is not really a natural scorer that can create shots. There were times he was trying to chuck up 3 point shots surrounded by two or 3 defenders.

If it were a tighter game does Spo sacrifice a team win to get a player the record?

Wizards got so petty in 4th quarter that they were fouling other Heat players to avoid allowing Bam to get to the FT line.

This along with Wizards bodying him and triple teaming him to deny him the ball, it was getting ridiculous.

People don't know this unless you were watching the game.

I was a Heat hater growing up cause I was a Knick fan but loved the rivalry. I am no longer a Heat hater cause I love the canes and getting to know the fan base over the years I understand most are Heat fans. I want whats best for the Heat cause I love this fan base and became friends with a lot of them, and you want your friends overall to be happy. But I look at things logically even though I have a dislike or like bias, I dont see a big deal with dude dropping 83. Like do you big man go get that record man. Loved that Heat and Knick rivalry, those were the best NBA times imo.

I guess they wanted to win too and knew he was getting the ball so I can’t say I blame them for trying to prevent him from scoring. I didn’t notice them fouling other guys to stop him from getting to the line. He had around 36 pts just from the line so they fouled him plenty.

The Knicks are better than Detroit bro. It won’t be easy but Detroit needs more offense to beat the Knicks. The Knicks have that tall defensive team you mentioned Luka needs. OG, Bridges, Mitchell Robinson. Towns is the wild card. If he shows up offensively they can get to the finals. I doubt they can beat OKC, Spurs or Nuggets.

Heat have a good squad and now that Ware is showing up consistently we can beat anybody if Bam is consistently aggressive offensively.
