OT: Apologies to Pat Riley

The Miami Heat are a franchise that has proven over and over again that we as fans should be proud of them. They seem to find an unknown guy and develop him every year. They always assemble the best team possible with the cap they have and try to win. They play hard. They demand their players to be in world class shape. Out of all of the teams I follow there isnt one I am more proud of. Even in loosing seasons we are always right there and take it to the best of teams even if they are far more talented than us. What Pat Riley created here is remarkable but it starts at the top and Micky Arrison has been as good of an owner as we could have asked for.

under this staff, yes. once spo has been able to change out the staff to his guys, theyve been great at scouting and development. overall, riley has done an amazing job with this team as a whole. he finds a way to find the guys needed and somehow got jimmy out of nothing and no cap.

Nunn, Herro, Silva, and Bam would be the magnets. Lot of games to play, but that's an exciting young core.

Nunn reminds me of Wade. Not as athletic, but he has that wade moxie and savvy. Big time heist.
So far he’s displaying better 3 point shooting ability than wade for sure and he’s pretty **** good inside the arc

Heat always seem to cultivate dudes like this from nowhere. Makes you wonder why they felt the need to match Tyler Johnson's contract and pay Waiters when they can find cheap replacements so easily.

I said before that the Heat should target Kyle Lowry and now I think he'd make them a Finals contender with the Bucks looking weaker. Problem is the Raptors look really good so I don't see them selling guys. Who else can the Heat target?

Agree about the Finals part but chill with the rest. A core of rotation dudes and aging Butler on a max deal is not that attractive.
Devin booker, Blake Griffin more so than Kevin love. I like The make up of the team right now though

We will see, i think your are writing him off too early given his age. Jimmy butler when he was 23 wasn’t even doing what Winslow was doing yet he became that type of player
Butler was on a loaded bulls team that was in the nba finals hunt; bad comparison. But he's still young and hopefully working tirelessly on his offensive game.

Very proud to be a Heat fan. Panthers finally looking good too! This should show all Canes fans that we will never win until we get a good administration who is competent and cares.

Riles obviously ain't perfect. He's burned a lot of money on some very bad contracts recently and he was obviously fooled by that mini 2nd half of the season run the team had a few years ago. But if there's one guy in the NBA whose "process" you can actually trust it would be him.

Not to mention that he's been beyond loyal to this city and the Heat organization too. The Lakers would've killed to lure him back many times over and it would've fit the little narrative we were always being fed (by Lebatard and others) about him and the Malibu house.

Imagine if the other 3 pro sports franchises and even the Canes were run as competently/successfully as the Heat have been for like the last 20 years. The level of angst in South Florida would drop to levels where it was only fueled by traffic annoyances and hatred of New York transplants. One can dream....

Yeah that's what gets me when people try to take cheap shots at Riles. Nobody is perfect, but he's aggressive and would sell his soul to the devil himself to win.

That's all I'd ever ask for out of someone tasked with acting as custodian for whatever team I loved.

Houston is playing their stars. This is amazing what the Heat is doing with Butler and a few young kids, this road trip coming up will tell us a lot about the Heat.
