LOL Sadly, yep. Kids more than anything, really. Starting my own business was a massive time consumer, but once I had kids is when gameing really ceased to exist in my life. My firm gobbles up so much of my time that I'm already limited on how much time I can be home with the fam. And it quickly got to a point where I just didn't feel right gaming for a few hours instead of playing with my daughter, or spending some time with the Mrs after the end of a long day and all the craziness. I'll get back into gaming one day for sure, as it was a huge part of my life for so long and I love it. My 5year old is just starting to show an interest so hopefully I can get her into gaming too. Then Dad can game a bit AND spend some QT with the kid as well! ;-)
Different for everyone, obviously. I'm sure there are lots of parents who still find time to game. My life just hasn't lent itself to that the last 10+ years. I'm lucky to get my pickup bball in every week on top of the Canes game which is mandatory. Got my 5yr old girl really into football (not by chance, BTW, she was brainwashed from birth!) so we always have football on in the house during the season and I don't have to lock myself away in a man cave to get my football fix.
I played FPS games all on my PC back in the day. Keyboard and mouse guy. Now all the good ones it seems are console-based. I've tried 'em, but this old man doesn't have the skills he once did. I end up being that idiot stuck in a doorway raising his gun up and down while I get knifed in the back. LOL
