LOL Sadly, yep. Kids more than anything, really. Starting my own business was a massive time consumer, but once I had kids is when gameing really ceased to exist in my life. My firm gobbles up so much of my time that I'm already limited on how much time I can be home with the fam. And it quickly got to a point where I just didn't feel right gaming for a few hours instead of playing with my daughter, or spending some time with the Mrs after the end of a long day and all the craziness. I'll get back into gaming one day for sure, as it was a huge part of my life for so long and I love it. My 5year old is just starting to show an interest so hopefully I can get her into gaming too. Then Dad can game a bit AND spend some QT with the kid as well! ;-)

Different for everyone, obviously. I'm sure there are lots of parents who still find time to game. My life just hasn't lent itself to that the last 10+ years. I'm lucky to get my pickup bball in every week on top of the Canes game which is mandatory. Got my 5yr old girl really into football (not by chance, BTW, she was brainwashed from birth!) so we always have football on in the house during the season and I don't have to lock myself away in a man cave to get my football fix.

I played FPS games all on my PC back in the day. Keyboard and mouse guy. Now all the good ones it seems are console-based. I've tried 'em, but this old man doesn't have the skills he once did. I end up being that idiot stuck in a doorway raising his gun up and down while I get knifed in the back. LOL
Good stuff man

I’m sort of relating to that .. definitely having a woman in your life hinders gaming big time... my gf now hates or rags on me when I try to play lol which I understand but she’s not big into sports but knows how holy the hurricanes are to me, I definitely tolerated the video game hinderance but
I told her I’d break up with her if she didn’t let me watch hurricane football lmao

Its a whole other topic if you’re with a woman who doesn’t understand sports so I had to put it bluntly like that but it’s all working out lol.

I tired playing halo the other day a FPS I was strangely good at, I had spurts where I was good here and there but the magic has definitely faded on what I once was On a couple games

I play Dragon ball fighter z a lot
Just picked up Assassins creed odyssey within the last 2 weeks

-just preordered red dead redemption 2, never played the first one
Didn’t play the first one much but rockstar doesn’t usually let people down

barely, if not at all. i use to think i would always be a gamer, this coming from someone who took their xbox to the hospital after my wife gave birth. don't care for it now, play every now and then when my son thinks he can beat me. he thinks since i don't play he can beat me in the latest version of madden then gets destroyed. i keep telling him I've been playing ncaa, madden etc... before he was born. don't care for all the new features pick your team and lose.

I have a ps4 but I'm so out of the loop. I just buy old games for $10 and enjoy them. They're new to me.
I got A Xbox one have to admit that that Spider-Man game looks pretty lit on ps4

I've debated spending the cash on that new spider man. It looks pretty dope. Most of the new games are built for online play and I rarely play online. Tired of getting killed by 12 year olds in call of duty or starwars. I still like the single player games with good story modes. I loved the Uncharted series and The Last of Us.

LOL great post.

Yeah I hear you on the skills fading. I face a horribly steep learning curve when I get back into it!

I'm gonna play a bit of Pitfall and Frogger on my new Atari 2600 innovative home gaming console.

Anyone use to play age of mythology on the computer back in the day? I went hard in that game. Being itching to play it again for years but lost my disks and don’t wanna pay $30 on steam

Im just grinding through the Kingdom Hearts collection before KH 3 comes out.

My favorite games of all time we’re Halo 2/3, Cod 4/MW2, Skyrim, and NCAA. I still play every now and then, but it’s hard to play like I used to. I might get the new Red Dead, though.
