Yeah, the same Sleepy who won a NC and robbed of another. Some might suggest he was comatose at the wheel and simply won with Butch's players, of course.
You’re taking a lot of L’s in this thread though I am sure you don’t realize it, and will now make it worse by overcompensating

My bad . . . Sleepy or Clappy, they all run together.

Problem I have is the incessant trashing of coaches, ADs, players, ex-players, recruits only hurts the program. Get the frustration, but suspect fair number of posters are on here only to stir **** up.

Eye test.
I watched Georgia, Oklahoma and Ohio State play and out of those teams only Georgia and Oklahoma have a valid argument by eye test. You can eliminate Ohio State for how they looked against Penn State and Perdue. They won the Penn State but Haskins couldn't complete a ball to save his life until the 4th quarter. And unlike Georgia, Ohio State's defense got worse has the year went on.

Now between Oklahoma and Georgia it's a tough call. Georgia has a balanced but not hugely explosive offense (RB are good but passing game is not explosive) with a very good defense vs a Oklahoma offense that is elite but a defense that is absolutely abysmal. I could make a case for either but I rather see Oklahoma vs Alabama (conf champ vs conf champ- it should mean something to win your conference) then a rematch of Georgia and Alabama. While Georgia vs Alabama would indeed be a good game, I'd rather have the unknown of two teams who have not faced each other yet.

Just my opinion.

It does make sense.

They were one of the four best teams.
I know cfb fans think they know what what the word playoff means means but actually they dont....in a true playoff, if a less talented team beats a more talented team, the loser doesnt get a rematch. win and move on, lose and go home......that is a playoff. The committee got it right. I also think they need to impliment that one must be a conference champion to be in the playoff. That would solve a lot of this dumbass sec logic
