hey man. Sometimes mother****ers just be wrong lol.

kinda like this board. if this staff continues to improve as well as the team, why cant we make a jump as the years go on? i still see people saying that manny wont win a title, but if the improvement comes from both sides, why cant we? ive been hard on manny but this team has been improving and didnt quit. ****, no one thought O would do anything at LSU after they lost to troy at home, but now theyre steam rolling bama to the playoffs and may win it all

We
Saw him at Montys, more than once, Ed & Dennis were two peas in a pod.
And We won..
We won during that era because of Sonny Lubick- without him Dennis would have fallen flat on his drunken, face and fat Ed wouldn’t even be a footnote in Hurricane history

Not familiar, but could u elaborate why or how the bad blood began?
[/QUOT that's someobe E]
He was a grad assistant for Jimmy in late '80's then took over DL in '90 or '91 under Dennis Erickson. Excellent DL coach but got involved in a bar fight in Louisiana in off-season and head-butted some guy. He was probably charged by the police. I believe he was suspended and fired or just fired.

That's my recollection.

My impression was that Orgeron was a good technical DL coach. Might be wrong, though. His predecessor, Bob Karmelowicz was thought to be good.

I love the guy but it would never work here because we simply dont have the funds to surround him with the staff he needs to succeed. He's a below average x & o coach at best.

Ed Orgeron's greatest attribute as a coach is his humility. This man is not afraid to admit he was wrong. He never overestimates his hand. Gotta be the most important thing he learned from his failure at Ole Miss...cut bait, always add, and keep re-evaluating himself. He has worked through so many combinations of OC, QB, and assistants, its crazy. He recruits like a motherfvcker, too.

For those that want or are on the fence with Mario Cristobal...this is your hopeful comparison. A guy that has learned from mistakes of failure, recruits his tail off, and has the acumen to get better coordinators and assistants.

He's one of there best recruiters.
Anywhere he's been he's always recruited Top Talent
He would BOMB here.

LSU is a place that buys recruits. He is a guy that doesnt g a f about stuff like that.

LSU is choc full of talent and has been from some time...they finally adapted and went to more of a spread look...something i thought we did this offseason...boy was i wrong

Certified corch! But is a heck of a motivator and recruiter. When you add that with bags he’s a beast.

he works for LSU because as you can see, they are hand picking the top coordinators Money can buy and Coach O knows he along for the ride so he’s rolling with it.

Why didn't we go after him?
I know alot of folks here think he's not good but his current record would say otherwise
Would Belichick be Belichick without Tom Brady? Burrow is to Coach O as Brady is to Bill. Put another QB there and LSU might have 3 losses.

Yes he's good .....BUT ....We couldn't understand him ......and at the time...we had no Cajun interpreters

do you understand the words.gif

Red faced fall down drunk with a very opinionated mouth. He doesn’t drink anymore, but our administration cares more about memories/feelings than realities. He’s aggressive and the soft shouldered liberal administration does not like that. He’s a Republican and our administration is literally 100% Democrats. Lastly, Ed is a great recruiter. Kids love him. Personality wise, that doesn’t fit with the administration. They really do enjoy being elitists. Ed’s an every man. Ed is old school Canes football. He’s not welcome here. For those that don’t know, the best drinker ever at Miami was Dennis. Legendary
Fact.
