Mario is a average coach. His winning percentage is just over .500. He has a tendency to lose games he should win.

Ok. I think that would be the normal way to do things but I think a variety of events caused dual tracks to happen. If we get the AD I’m thinking, then his merely coming here would signal that he’s ok with Mario.

How many times has a giant extension been publicly reported and not signed this cycle? From what I seen, the guys that leave don't even give the school the option. Anyone yet to take it?

Would we know? If the negotiations were secret it’s not like a school is going to issue a press release saying ‘we tried’.

For all we know, Mel ‘17-14’ Tucker may have been negotiating with L$U. And Brian Kelly was in talks with USC prior to the Riley-USC and Kelly-LSU deals were inked (Kelly-USC talks was mentioned in an article when he moved to L$U, FWIW).
