Opinions of the offense?

Offensive line played well enough. They still lack overall talent, but the # of blown assignments, penalties and total talent mismatches were back down to earth. They will not hang against top talent but looked very cohesive as a unit, which is way farther along than at any time last year.

Real hard to grade a new scheme, particularly this year. We were super
Conservative. I saw enough to be pretty
Pumped for ACC play. WRs need a wakeuo
call tho, forreal

I feel like the OL got pushed around all night, and this is UAB. What is it going to be like in conference play? King was so-so, signs of what we have heard about, but missed a couple of easier throws.
Corners looked lost. UAB had at least one receiver wide open every play.
We have a lot to work on, hoping it was first game jitters and everyone will start meshing as we go along.

it's the first game people. Give the guys and coaches a LITTLE BIT of time to settle in, have some real time, in game experience, etc.

Ran for 300+ yards
Scored 30+ points
Didnt turn the ball over

those are all huge pluses and it was against a very solid UAB squad that could win their conference.

Idk why people keep saying this. If it’s obvious to me what King is and can be, how is not obvious to Lashlee? He hasn’t played a game in a year and we’re throwing bombs only for two quarters? What kind of game plan is that? Did they have their eyes closed during practice?

How in the **** can anyone who watched last years performance complain about anything this offense did tonight? Lol you guys are nuts.

Enos averaged 26 points a game with Jarren Williams. Lash just put up 31 with King against UAB.

Numbers dont lie. That was not impressive in any form or fashion

The potential is there... the execution was not.

Not happy.

Not angry.

This performance was expected, for the most part, for a team playing in their first game with a new offense — that never had spring ball.

It was clear Lashlee wanted to be vanilla with the offense, which is idiotic, but it was obvious to anyone that our offense at the beginning of the second half was night and day from what we saw in the first half and quarter #4.

RBs looked great, Oline actually looked impressive in run blocking, pass blocking was shaky. Concerned that we didn’t throw the ball more, but that could have just been because we were busting off big runs. Overall, the playbook will open up more and we will look much better. The second half was worlds better than the first half
