One thought watching CFB all day

Texas OL starting controlling the game is why they won. Getting 4-5 yds/ per carry running allowed the comeback. Arch had guys wide open once that happened that even he could not miss. Not impressed by either of those two QB’s in the least.
.
Now imagine what someone with Mensah's talent and WR Room can do with that kind of time.

There’s going to be fratricidal contests all over the B1G and the SEC. This is going to help us and the Wee Irish Peoples in the rankings as time goes on. It will also help Bloomington because of their cake schedule. We could go into South Bend 1-2.

Auburn, Ole Miss, and Texas are all depending on one former Miami offensive lineman as an essential contributor this year.

Does anybody in America have a good offensive line?
Good question. OLs need time and experience. Indiana is supposed to have a strong OL. I think the Canes will improve throughout the year. A lot of transfer portal movement affects OL cohesion.

The University of Miami has a good offensive line. Our issues, especially in the run game are not from being overpowered, it’s from lack of communication and committing errors in run blocking. Our pass blocking has been fantastic! The run blocking will continue to get better as the interior communication improves.

Our guard and center play has been objectively bad. Missed assignments and slow to get to assignments. Pad level too high. Lots of work to do if we want to be a national championship contender.

We also need to bench Chase, but that’s a different conversation.

Notre Dame, unfortunately
They’re a good group but they have serious issues running the football. Idk how much of it is a drop off in talent in the RB room, scheme/teams selling out, or them not gelling yet or just can’t run block. Guess we’ll find out.

Think you are underselling TX OL. The end around and gimmicky play calls by Sark were awful, but they pushed OSU around the 4th quarter and Arch was pretty well protected all night.
Agree. I think TX OL played well, protected Manning and in the 4th was pushing taints DL around. Was not impressed at all by OSU OL or DL last night.

And one dumb question - why didn’t Day let TX score to preserve time and get the ball back to try for a game winning FG? Had he let them score when they got to 1st and goal, taint gets the ball back with about 1 min left.

People are worried about who looks great now. But its who looks great in November. Last season was the first time in ages we were playing better late in the season than anytime before. Also every team has new players emerge and we have alot of candidates ready to break out and become stars, outside of the well known players like Toney, Mensah Bryce etc.
Exactly
Two games in and people have already made season long conclusions.
Development, injuries, surprises good and bad.
Long way to go.
Just look at texas's schedule through october. They could be undefeated and the clear team to beat. They could go 3-2 & still playoff bound. Or lose 3, 4 of those games and be outside looking in.
