On Myson Johnson-Cook

Miami is obviously heartbroken. Myson Johnson-Cook has rare physical tools and they spent a lot of time recruiting him.

But this ultimately came down to GM Dennis Smith making tough roster construction decisions.

I agree with the approach. If we stay stocked with the Jackson Cantwells of the world, we will run the ball.

Two names to watch at running back are Ty Keys (Picayune, Mississippi) and Brennan Lacey (Dallas, TX).

I rather save the money for Mark Mathews and the two Chicago DT'S ( Brayden Parks and David Folorunsho) or a combo of David Folorunsho , Jamar Thompson the west boco DT and the coral cables DT.

The second he agreed to an auburn visit this kid sold his soul and the rottenness overtaking him .

His commitment show had a stench and reeked.

He’ll portal for more money, he sold out everything he HAD good in him .

We’ll be fine especially with championships on the horizon

Better land Matthews without any excuses. I agree on not paying what Cook was getting from Auburn, but you can't than make ANY excuses for not landing Matthews when the approach is prioritizing the trenches first.

Matthews deal will simply come down to money. Better pay him whatever to make sure he is in this class.
This is not how you win in the long run. He is a PROSPECT. You never pay a PROSPECT as much as they ask.

Make sense why that Taylor dude left, Mario has a blind spot with smith for sure

Pessimistic Pete has to have a raging hard-on right now.

All jokes aside, it’s not the end of the world. Mallory has already shown he’s the RB of the future and there’s still some good RB’s out there, Elijah Kimble, for example. I’m more concerned about landing Mark Matthews and Kaden Henderson.
Pete learned his lesson after #watchthefinish

Many others haven’t

Gonna have the same post about roster construction when Texas a&m over pays for Matthew's next week

Ehhh, actually it is. You secure the best talent available. And in todays world of NIL, the market dictates what a player is worth. If A&M is willing to pay Matthews $3M per, the market has spoken.

With our approach of prioritzing the trenches first, which without question is the correct approach, you can't make excuses for not landing Matthews for multiple reasons.

He is a top of the board target, at a position we value like no other, and oh just happens to be the #1 OL in the country in our backyard. When you pass on a Cook, because we aren't willing to spend what Auburn was, well you have now saved on your RB budget, because the next guys we are after are a fraction of what Cook cost. So zero and I mean zero excuses not land Matthews.

Why did he tweet when he didnt have deal done? Has he not learned one of the first lessons in getting deals done?

Also this is the 2nd guy we "had" publicly locked in that we lost at last second in this class.. Where is the disconnect coming from, does Dennis not know how to read these things correctly?
Count back to last year too…number gets bigger
