Heart skipped a beat there for a second

I forgot he was a junior. I had Aldarius Johnson flashbacks and thought Derwin had a kid already

If Mario knew now what we knew at the end of last year and if Beck is worth 4mil what would Cam be worth…6-8 ?
We probably overpaid for a QB, but that’s the one position you gotta have. A QB impacts the game more so than a DB. To answer your question though Cam would be worth more than Beck

What did we pay?
Actually number not BS on internet
We?

Demari looked really solid early in that UF game then bascially got a season ending injury in 2nd quarter.

Made a great physical play on a jet sweep sorta blew it up, then had 2 Pass break ups on Badger I think. Gave up 1 pass on a perfect outside shoulder throw on sideline by Mertz, but had good coverage.

Then came back too soon vs Cuse and was abused incluiding the single worst rep i've ever seen at DB where he got turned 360 degrees on a go route by a WR who didn't even try to fake him

An Average starting Safety should be making like 2% of the "cap". Backups/Depth guys <0.5%
An Elite safety generally makes <6.8%.

So for 1 safety to reasonably be worth $2M, you'd need an NIL budget >$30M+. Which That's probably the higher end of what I expect NIL budgets to be.

All that to say I wouldn't choose to pay any safety $2M.... And You **** sure don't pay for multiple expensive safeties when already spending a lot on CB (That's as it pertains to Haulcy). Idk what we're paying Poyser, but I can't imagine him, Lucas, OConnor, Brantley, And OJ a raise is cheap. Think we're probably underspending on DT right now, and overspending on DB.

What does any of that have to do with the hypothetical question that was asked?

No one is paying him $2 Mil, he never expected $2 Mill. That ask was to leave him alone and let him walk. LSU won't pay him what we offered. Why would they? Wait until next week to see if we get Scott and Toure.

You gave a list of guys that could be worth$2m. I gave the context for how that would reflect in a real budget, then said I wouldn't pay ANY safety that much.

Hypothetical:
What safeties in the last 10-15 years of cfb would be worth 2 milli if they jumped in the portal?
College production only.
Why would you give the context of a real budget to a hypothetical question?

I mean the question obviously implies some NIL budget, otherwise you'd never ask the question. If I say who would you pay $2M to on a $100M budget that's going to have different answers than a $20M budget.

I take the question to mean what safeties would be worth $2M today. And to me that is too much cause I believe our NIL budget is likely $30M or less. However I did literally show that if the budget is $30M, $2M is kinda inline with how the NFL has budgeted for top safeties...

Paying $2M is a key part of the hypothetical otherwise you'd just ask for a list of the 10 best safeties in CFB the last decade...

I don't think people understand how poor our secondary play was. Like, it was the worst thing I've ever seen and I've witnessed defenses by Matt Patricia.

There's All-22 tape going around for draft SZN for next year with Rueben Bain highlighted. He could not have beaten his blocker any faster at times and he had no shot at sacking the QB, because the ball was already out.

Imagine trying not to rush past the QB and hold some form of contain knowing full well by the time you get there, the ball is gone already. As much as I can understand the "Our D-Line underperformed" sentiment because that's how it appears on first sight, we honestly have no idea because the coverage behind it was Division 2 at best.
That’s why i was arguing against people saying our dline was bad, overhyped by the fanbase yea but that’s thier fault lol. They played well but we were out schemed and the secondary was the worst **** ever so dline play didn’t matter

How about this these children can do local TV commercials like roofing companies, impact windows , oil and tire change companies and flooring.

Give them the $2,000,000.00 from the auction and throw in a couple hundred thousand plus dollars allegedly for commercials.

Where did we land on the whole short yardage midget toss question? Is it a go?

The Pirate was an idea-visionary who was allergic to winning 10-games (only did it twice) and conference championships (zero-point-zero).

Can’t wait for him and his agent to say Miami tried to pay him $2 mil but he turned it down to play for $1500, a ‘06 civic, and a dance from Brian Kelly just to fulfill his lifelong dream of playing in the SEC 🥹

I had to search for this blindfolded to prevent gouging my eyes out from cringe. I'm not ashamed to admit I'm not man enough to view this without significant mental health support near me.
