Omier enters name in NBA draft

Looking forward to all the conspiracies.

Like someone said above he likely got no good feedback and then tried to hold Miami hostage with an even bigger NIL.

Seems like a good guy. Would have liked to keep him. But I bet we will be just fine. And that’s not saying final four but we will be a tourney team again next year. Those two deep runs had some guys over valuing themselves and Maybe L doing a bit to much selling too.
 
The writing was on the wall once they brought in Kidd and Brandon Johnson. Omier is maxed out as a college player and it was clear we wanted to get bigger in the frontcourt. Larranaga also said at his end of season presser that they weren't going to be held hostage again by players who wanted to test the draft waters and essentially move forward like they weren't going to be part of the roster.

To toss my own speculation out, with Omier and Wooga portaling this late and at the same time, L and the staff may have reached the point where they have to have a firmer idea. AtlAtty told us his nephew’s family’s concern was needing to know about playing time. That’s probably not an uncommon theme from the players we’re targeting.

So Jim is supposed to sit around while Norchad holds us hostage? We signed Johnson and Kidd because he let Jim knows his attention to declare. Both are double digit scorers. Guarantee you Jim is guiding Norchad through the NBA process. This university has been very good to Norchad.

Wooga needs to attend class whatever he lands.

This makes more sense. Norchad loves Miami and Jim. Him in the portal actually helps us. He can pull out of the portal after Jim fills out the roster. Who we signing as a big with Johnson and Kidd and Norchad's status unclear.
 
Is Omier worth 1mm? No doubt he’s an amazing player and has been an amazing Hurricane, but we can’t spend so much NIL on one really good player that we can’t afford to fill out the team with elite players.

When there’s only a limited amount of NIL to go around, you can’t overpay one player… you gotta have the money for at least 8 high level guys.

There’s a fundraiser at Stuart Miller’s house next week.

Everybody is doing everything possible to max the NIL available.

The shots at L in this thread are absurd and ridiculous.

The people that hated L before the two huge runs are coming out of the woodwork once again. None of us should be surprised, we have a lot of toxic, moronic fans in our fanbase. I'm convinced there is a portion of the fanbase that lives to make things toxic, almost like they actively dislike the University and the athletic department, but refuse to move on to another school.
