OK, onto UM-FSU....

Honestly, even though he's a true freshman, I would feel much more comfortable with Scaife protecting N'kosi's blindside vs Burns than I would St. Louis. I've seen enough of St. Louis at LT this year to see that he is too slow and athletically limited to deal with Burns' speed off of the edge at an acceptable level.

This is Richt's job to figure out a way to deal with Burns. We all know this 78 aint no Bryant McKinnie

Long time observer, first-time poster.

FSU needed a really bad UL team to give them this game to pull it out. Just look at some of the team stats. UL is 119th in total offense, and even though UL's QB couldn't hit the side of a barn he still passed for 300yds. The middle of the field was open all game and beyond their DLine, Fsu's defense is average as ****. They also only went 3/13 on third down today, and only convert around 31% of the time. Meanwhile, we've got one of the top third down defenses in the country (I know it doesn't feel like that when Manny dials up a blitz on 3rd and long and we get burned by some average as **** QB). We're also leading the country in TFL's and are up there in sacks. If you go through all the stats, you'll see our strengths line up well with their weaknesses. They've either been blown out or struggled against every team they've played.

It's still a rivalry game, and it'll be their Superbowl, but there's no reason we can't win by 17+. Doesn't mean that we will, but we definitely can. We'll win one way or the other. Another big factor we can't overlook is the coaching difference. We all saw how Golden was able to grab defeat from the jaws of victory a few times against these guys. Taggart is Golden 2.0. The guy's never beat a decent ranked team. His last two wins against ranked teams were against a 22nd ranked Navy (2016) and 21st ranked Temple (2015). This will be the first time since 2000 that we'll definitely have the better coach in this game, and that's huge. It's Miami-FSU so anything could happen, but all indicators look good right now.

If Richt keeps St. Louis at LT next week (probable) I pray to God he uses the RBs and TEs to give him some help in pass pro because I doubt very seriously he can handle Burn's speed by himself.

He didn't play it safe with rosier last year. Richt knows what this means.

Rosier was a 4th year Junior and Miami’s running game was non existent. Little different scenario. I hope you’re right.

**** we got some scary *** fans. What did you see today that scared you? Louisville got stomped by UVA, barely beat a 1-4 WKU team and if Pass could throw 10-15 yard passes to wide open receivers that game wouldn't have been close today...

We lead the nation in tfl. FSU O-Line is 127th in country in giving up tfl. Willis and co gonna live in their backfield.

It is a rivalry game, so those stats may not mean much, tbh.
Also, what K9 said about their QB and Brian Burns.

We should take care of business. Some of us are probably overlooking them, because they have absolutely nothing to lose and last year we felt pretty confident too and it was a close game. But it really doesn’t matter what WE think. As long as the players aren’t taking them lightly. If they would have lost today, some of them probably would have but hopefully their lucky *** win wakes some of them up. We cannot even let them gain an ounce of confidence next weekend.

FSU's OL keeps them from having a real chance, Willis cements himself as an AA in this game.

They will also come in with a ton of false bravado after beating L'ville, guaranteed.

I dont understand what Petrino/Pass were doing at the end. You have 1st down deep in FSU territory with the lead. All you are trying to do at that point is run clock and force FSU to burn TO's. Honestly, the option of even changing a run call to a throw shouldn't even be on the table. Like Oregon last week, taking a knee or just QB sneaking it was the more intelligent play. Because at that point, time is more important than yards or points. This is Petrino's worst decision since that one motorcycle ride. At that point he has to say,'just run it' or 'take a knee'. Honestly, this was among the worst coached games Ive seen in a long time

Did it look to anyone else like those three plays in a row, his guys were actually trying to get out of bounds? One he was out but the ref was ready to go home and signaled him in.
