Some people make Cook out to be Adrian Peterson. He's not that good... Jesus. We have Duke, Yearby, Gus, and Crawford, and Powell. We'll do just fine. Miami needs lock down Scarlett next year.

This.

From what I've seen he's a very talented athlete. He doesn't have great vision back there though - in the highlights from the games where Yearby was injured (State Champs?) he often gets bottled up behind the line and doesn't make 3-4 yards out of nothing.

Granted if he's given a hole he can take it the distance and he has power to match.

It's not a crushing loss though. He'd have just been a nice addition.

Who the f@ck knows.

Tell you one thing, Nigel's twitter feed is a non stop roller coaster ride with ALL sorts of stuff popping up at you. I vote you wait to you see Cook throw up a U, chop or whatever before you lose your Xmas cookies on this report.

Golden lost the most explosive offensive player in the state. No need to diminish Cook's skill and down talk his talent. Makes you look bitter and ***.

It's one step below "never had a committable offer."

yall act like cook is the second coming of barry sanders walter payton and jim brown

Your right, posters on this sight are so ungrateful for the RB's we have. Yearby & Powell are two of the best RB's in the nations &they should come in with a chip on their solders for being overlooked. I think both Yearby & Powell will come in and be special after a years in UTough.

How do you lose something that might have never been yours? He was never committed to Miami at any point so far.

the fact that you mention Crawford and Edwards just shows how much we need Cook. FSU has a kid like Ryan Green (top 100 recruit) who can barely see the field and a converted safety is our #2 RB. Losing Cook is a big deal.

Let's be realistic. Not every player in the South Florida area is going to want to attend The U. Some of these kids want to see other parts of the state, what the world has to offer. Golden gave it a respectable effort and as a fan I couldn't ask for anymore out of him. Not to mention we got two other fantastic backs locked up in this class. So before you start mopping about how Golden did this and that, and how great Dalvin will be a FSU...take a step back and look at the big picture.

Innovative new way to spin losing a Miami kid whose brother attends our school , and whose best friend is a Miami commit.

I'll give it up to you for the effort.
