Wow, nobody knew how toxic it really was. We thought the fans hated him last season but it seems like the players hated him even more. I still can't believe he kept his job at the end of the 2014 season.

That's not true. Mama Duke said it back then. She was crushed for it, but she was telling the truth. The little I dug into this topic, that whole class of Duke, Tracy, etc., there was a huge divide between them and Golden.

Tracy never hid his dislike. He learned to play the game as a senior to secure more playing time. His hatred for Willian's and Doritos was on display for most of his tenure here.

Golden had many choices during that interview. If he were a bigger man, he would have dodged the chance to say anything negative. His choice to make a negative comment/his failure to dodge is a sign of a small, weak and insecure man. Yes, his situation was tough, but that's why you get paid millions of dollars. He still had enough time and opportunity to turn things around and be successful and the lack thereof is his fault and his fault only. He poisoned the team, the program and community, and ultimately failed as a head coach, by choosing not to adapt and change. And to make matters worse, he ****ed on everyone with that comment. The sign of a small and weak man.

The only thing good to come from his statement is that it opened the door for his former players to throw it back at him.

They blatantly quit on him at least a dozen times. Yet dudes were shouting me down saying the players played hard and loved him. Fcking stronzos.
 
Had he EVER took any of the blame instead of throwing players under the bus, I would have some sympathy for him. He prideful refusal to consider that his defense that he got in the showers at psu was he problem was his downfall. That and a total lack of coaching talent.

It was clear that players quit on him. If was also clear he deserved it from the first time he thew one under the bus. Not sure if you are old enough to remember Nam and the concept of "fragging". Idiot top leadership, see Donna, LBJ, Nixon, sends blind subordinates, see Al and Co., to order you to your demise results in negative reaction -- like a fragmentation grenade rolling into you hooch. Drop that back for lesser seriousness and you readily get "quitting". Had he won, they would have put up with his bs.

That fat f'aggot wasn't too "burned out" to leave the job. He wasn't too "burned out" to stop stealing those checks. There is no doubt in my mind that despite his "burn out" he'd still be stealing checks if Dr. Frenk hadn't fired him. I hope he dies in a grease fire fueled by the money he stole from UM.

Poetry right there. **** Vermeil was burned out, and he did the honorable thing and quit. He didn't hang on and go through the motions stealing checks.

Folden was run out, not burned out. That cumsucker's wife and kids were living in **** with UM fans craving their blood, but that maggot husband kept feeding them to the jackals instead of stepping down.

He's a deplorable husband and father. Fck that fat maggot.

He didn't care who he booty blasted as long as he could keep the paper going into his bank account. The guy is a complete fraud as a coach and a human being. I hope he burns in **** with Paterno and Sandusky.

I almost wish someone would ask Blake for comment on this.....but I only say almost....because I think he'd offer a diplomatic innocuous reply and **** us off instead of throwing shade back at Fat Al- a guy that said he was invigorated and energized prior to his last ****show of a season here. Anyone remember that? I think that m-f'er actually cited a diet and exercise change.

What a lying *******. The Shapiro news broke about a year before the Yahoo article came out. Nevin wanted to write a book so he was chirping from prison about how he was going to snitch. A simple Google search would have revealed that UM was aware of the allegations and was cooperating with the NCAA long before the Yahoo article was published. I find it very difficult to believe that Golden took the job with absolutely no knowledge of the Shapiro situation.

That's one of the things that has me most excited about the Richt hire. He's coming in re-energized with a chip on his shoulder. Gonna be nice watching a true pro call football plays.
